Protected cells fit easily in these things.These are sturdy enough and have useable fixing holes to make life easier.As with most battery cases you would be wise to put some ribbon beneath the cells to make removal a whole lot easier.

Great 18650 triple battery carrier, I used to update a 6v torch with a lead acid cell with a 15 min run time to a 12v cob array with a run time of over an hour.

These mostly work but they grip way too tightly onto the battery, making it incredibly difficult to ensure good contact with the anode, and even more difficult to remove the batteries without a lever.

Firstly, just like to thank those reviewers that took the time to provide an honest review of this product. I wish I'd taken more notice.The battery I was using was a Turnigy 18650 2500mAh. Nothing fancy. Expected (and wanted) a tight fit. OK so far so good. Quick lever with a screwdriver and the battery just pops out. Spring(-ve terminal) was not able to force contact with the +ve terminal. OK, quick squeeze of the ends of the holder sorted that out. Electicity starts to flow and things start working. BUT!!!!! Less than 10 seconds later the -ve terminal (spring) is smoking, the plastic around it is melting and if left a few more seconds I'm sure I'd have had flames. The terminal wires attached look about SWG24 which has a current capacity of about 2A. Could'nt work out what the terminals were made of but neither component is clearly not up to the job of dealing with an 18650 battery although they are sold as such.

Problem with all these battery holders is the gauge of the cable used in the fly leads. No better or worse than others.

Grabs the cells tightly, makes good contact.

The plus contact is too recessed to touch the battery terminal. Not suitable for the Sony range of 18650s
