Would recommend for beginner or intermediate players
Good for the price. Tuned to guitarlele not normal guitar, which works well. Easy to handle with a good sound.

Great little guitar for slender hands.
The instrument I received was constructed to a very good standard. Fret ends were tidy and the binding looked really good. The sound could best be described as bright and jangly. A basic unpadded gig bag was included in the price too.As supplied, the string action was way too high, requiring considerable finger pressure to get clean chords at the first few frets. However after using nut files to reduce the string height at the nut, the guitar became much easier to play. It stayed in tune very well.Scale length is 435mm (17 1/8"). String spacing at the (42mm) nut is 36mm (from low A to high A) and is 47mm at the bridge. This is a seriously narrow neck. Also, the saddle looks to be borrowed from a regular sized guitar, so the strings don't quite sit in the right places.I have large hands and found the instrument very challenging to play chords at first (even though I also play mandolin). It required a bit of relearning to find the best way to voice chords without choking the strings. A different story for solos, the piccolo guitar plays like a dream. The reduced scale length means the string tension is high compared to regular sized guitar so it may be less than ideal as a child's learner instrument.Overall, a well made guitar. I was impressed. The sound is bright. The satin sheen, open-pore finish looks excellent as does the binding. The only down side for me was the extremely narrow neck and string spacing, so I give this guitar 4 stars. If the guitar had a regular string spacing (e.g 44mm nut etc) I would give it 5 stars. However, if you possess small, slender hands, this instrument may already be perfect for you.

A bit of fun but not suitable as a serious instrument
I purchased this item but have since returned it as the instrument had too many issue with intonation / tuning to be used as I intended (a gigging instrument)What I liked was the design, finish and general build quality of the instrument. The tone of the sound was pleasing as well - really projected. I really liked the finish and feel of the instrument. What I was really disappointed to find was that the tuning and intonation when playing was terrible (other reviews have said the same). Perhaps adjusting the nut would have reduced some of the issues when fretting notes against open strings but I think in general the bridge itself is not 100% accurately placed (the only way to really set the intonation). An instrument for a bit of fun but I had intended to use it within a local uke jam but the tuning issues prevented that hence I returned it. A real shame as the string spacing / feel / tone / looks where great, it just was too much of a gamble / expense to whether the intonation could be corrected. At an rrp of £190, the tuning / intonation should really be better

Cannot get it to stay in tune
I thought that other reviewers were doing something wrong but I cannot get this to stay in tune. Even basic tuning is hard. If you open tune it using a tuner the E string is out of tune when you play barre chords. I wonder if the bridge is the correct shape.Apart from that it is fun to play and has a nice sound. Build quality is what I expect from Ibanez but the tuning ..... agghhhhh!

Very well made instrument, but not electro-acoustic as described
The headline text describes it as "Ibanez EWP Series EWP14WB Electro-acoustic guitar -Open Pore Natural"It is however not a model with a pickup, so cannot be described as electro-acoustic, still very nice, just not fitted with a pickup to connect to PA or amplifier.

A Surprisingly Bad Instrument
Not sure if it was poor supplier storage, but the unit arrived in poor condition. In the picture it looks beautiful, but that's the best bit.Even correctly tuned (to the 5th Fret of a guitar) the unit struggles to stay in tune. This instrument is basically a guitalale, so although it's interesting, and perhaps a more stylish example of its type, it's ultimately destined for the car boot sale.

Too small to play
Extremely difficult to play even basic cords as very small . The idea of a guitar the size of a ukelle is flawed unless you have very slender fingers . Try a 3/4 one instead if full guitar is too big

Guitars don’t go out of tune?
It’s not the guitar that goes out of tune it’s the strings. You HAVE to stretch the strings and let them bed in. There are several ways to do this, but the first thing is to buy TOP QUALITY strings.Tune the guitar to a higher pitch and leave for a week. Then go back and retune to the right pitch. The strings will now stay in tune.
