I needed to clean out the old lube from some mechanical switches and the head of a normal qtip was too big to fit into the switch, plus it was shedding fibres that would contaminate the switch. These worked perfectly and did a great job of cleaning the lube, leaving behind no contaminants.You can slightly dip it into water/isopropyl if you only need a small amount of moisture, or the foam will soak up a lot of fluid if you need to flood the area. The foam holds together well, although it does eventually start to tear.Overall a great product for cleaning hard to reach areas, or if you don't want fibres contaminating what you're cleaning. Maybe expensive for what they are, but being a specialist product its to be expected.

Yes it is thin microfibre type cloth but it is for specific purposes like cleaning electrical components and for that reason, this is a great buy and I'm really pleased with. It is not cotton and is not meant to be. It feels different and you might go through quite a few for a small project. I think you might be able to clean and reuse some for other not important jobs.The price was very reasonable for 100 sticks for £4.50 with delivery presents excellent value for something I need.5 stars.

They are great for lots of little fiddly jobs. Not just round the computer keyboard. I use them to clean my hearing aid tips they are great for cleaning the screw heads on the soup maker. They fit into tight spaces better than anything else.
