LIGHT WEIGHT, LIGHT WORK
Approximately 15 Kg. in weight, is light for a lawnmower, which folds down roughly into a square shape, for minimal storage space.Mainly of a plastic construction, allowing for the less weight, is robust enough for periodic use.The 10 metre long electric flex, coloured orange for safety and rubber plug, is sufficient for the smaller garden or medium sized one, perhaps requiring an extension lead.Always use an RCD circuit breaker, widely available. There is a red lever for easy grass height selection (2cm-7cm.)The lawnmower requires initial assembly per the instruction booklet (could be improved), yet is fairly straight forward. The is no explanation/depiction, how to fold the lawnmower with the grass box after use. After a little trial and error, I found out how to, which is easy/simple to remember (split the grass box into two.)The plastic grass box two halves are clipped together, one on top of the other, but do this gently, paying heed to alignment. It hooks onto the mower's rear end by lifting the spring loaded hinged flap.Because of the flexibility in the handle assembly design and necessary economical construction used, means that there is quite a bit of twisting, lifting and lowering of the metal handle pieces and moving around of folded flex to it's resting position.Ditto for reassembly. It gets easier with practice. The replaceable cutting blade, has a simple nut assembly beneath and cuts grass right up to the edges, due to the recessed wheel design.I chose this model because of the four on/off switches built into the handle. Those on the left work in unison depending upon which one is selected; the same for the right hand side, i.e. they work as pairs. They are all kept powered on when the handle's central red button is depressed.Select any switch thereafter to switch off.The handle may be held by the hands either horizontally or vertically; ideal for the smaller person, elderly or those with dexterity issues. The rear roller beneath the lawnmower, whilst effective on longer straight lawns, loses it's benefit on the smaller lawn that requires more twisting and turning when being mowed.Consequently the roller reduces manoueuvrability (UK spelling) slightly on a smaller lawn. This is a very efficient mower giving excellent finished results, including gathering moss to allow the lawn to recover it's best appearance; ask my neighbour.

Decent for the price & does the job
Have had this Bosch model before which lasted years before I replaced it with a bigger mower which I eventually decided was too big & heavy for my uneven & multi level garden. So I’ve gone back to this size of Bosch. Assembled in 15 mins & tested on the lawn, it quickly cut the grass & picked up all the big lumps of grass the old mower churned out so happy with what it does. Only 4 stars as the grass box, plastic covering & handle is much flimsier than the older version of Bosch & I don’t think it will last as many years.

Cuts great. Grass collector works well. Can't complain
I got this to replace my manual lawnmower (as in it was powered by pushing, not that this is automatic like the robo-lawn mowers). Compared to that, this cuts so well and easily, at the desired length and has no problem with slight damp or wet grass and flattening the grass with the wheels instead of cutting it. It does a great, even cut to the adjustable height (there are only I think 4 heights possible though, maybe 5 but I find I only use one length anyway (3) so that doesn't seem to matter.Only slightly annoying thing is the power cable is always out so you have to keep slinging it over shoulder and whipping it out of the way to make sure you don't mow it yourself. However, this is still better than having some sort of retractable thing that goes wrong so not taking a star off for it but it does mean I can only really do my lawn efficiently by starting in one place and going back and forth from near to far of the power socket I use. If I wanted to do my lines up and down instead, for example, then I would have to move more wire each trip which could get annoying as it's a long wire.

Thoroughly recommended
I bought this to replace a "Flymo Mow 'n' Vac" which was totally useless. The Bosch arrived yesterday and I have used it only once, so this is initial impressions only. Compared with the Flymo, the Bosch is:- About £20 more expensive- Longer and heavier, so requires a bigger storage space- Slightly more faff to assemble on delivery- Appears slightly more ticky-tacky, thinner plastic and so on.On the other hand, the Bosch:- Came highly recommended by my friend, who has had one trouble-free for about 5 years- Cuts my very small lawn in around 10 easy minutes, compared with 20 minutes of struggle with the Flymo- Cuts right to the edges, up to walls and upstanding boards, so no going round afterwards with the shears- Cuts neatly over the edges of inset paths without scalping the grassy high points (the mower supports itself on the roller)- Needs the grassbox emptying only once, compared with three or four times for the Flymo even on a tiny lawn- Leaves the lawn almost totally clear of clippings, whereas the Flymo left a liberal coating of cut grass on the ground- Does not blow clippings or dead leaves all over the place as the Flymo did- Has a proper metal blade which does not break or fly off as the Flymo plastic blades did every time I used it- Cuts the rough grass in the back lane outside my garage very easily- Deals with clumps of longer grass without nearly stalling, which the Flymo was prone to do- Supports its own weight, which the Flymo did not do, even on a perfectly level surface (unless you left the grassbox off)- Has five easily adjusted, very distinct cutting heights. The Flymo has two, which requires disassembly of the cutting rotor to change- Can leave stripes, if you are interested in such things (I am not).
