Got this for my grandson. He loves it.

Batteries never fully charged! Not worth it!

This thing is fun! The first thing I immediately noticed is the quality of the materials. It feels sturdy (heavy), and the rubber wheels made this truck seem higher quality than most. It came with three batteries, all of which were fully charged. We immediately took it for a test run in lots of different scenarios and one observation rose to the top as we played... This truck is powerful. It's not going to win a race, but it will crawl with ease over literally anything in its way.We live in Florida, and this truck crawled over tall St. Augustine grass, rocks, pavers, and even small patio steps. If you can get a sliver of a wheel on it, the truck can crawl over it. The batteries also lasted quite some time, though it did depend on the terrain. On flat dirt surfaces, the battery lasted a lot longer (as to be expected).My only criticism, which is super minor in the grand scheme, is the motor turning the front wheels. It's very loud. You can hear when the remote is engaged to turn the wheels. But we got over that noise very quickly.In all, this is a great truck that will be enjoyed by our family for hopefully a long time to come!

I wish the batteries would stay charged longer, they take forever to charge as well

I don't know where to begin. There are so many ways they built this to be fun for the beginner or even the most experienced. Let's start with it coming with 3 battery packs. You get a whole lot of time "playing around." Nothing is worse than calling it quits because you ran out of power. This is a rugged little Monster Truck. It is built to take a little abuse. It shouldn't be able to be called a Monster Truck if it couldn't. Unfortunately, many starters won't take it, but this does. Waterproof? The battery compartment is sealed tight. If that feature wasn't there, even though the tires give the impression could get you through anything, the truck would be out of commission when you are going off-road.This is a great gift for a young one (or yourself) to enjoy. If you're wondering where or when you go from a toy-grade to a hobby-grade remote-controlled car/truck. This is a great in-between. For a toy, it takes a lot of abuse and gives a lot of fun in return.

Very disappointed in size and quality.The photos they show would make you think it is larger

This is a PERFECT RC truck for beginners or younger kids. It is incredibly well made and durable. Comparing this to other RC trucks it has a few cons, but the pros make up for it. First off, this truck is durable. I have driven it full speed into trees, curbs, other RC trucks, etc. and this truck takes no damage. The only real con is that this truck is not the fastest. It is fast enough to be fun, but will not keep up with more expensive RC vehicles. With that said, the lack of speed lends itself to the durability. You will not hit a curb and break off a tire like you do with faster high end cars. The battery life is almost double other RC trucks I have. I sold large remote control toys for a national retailer for many years. I know the things to look for, and I know what to expect for any given dollar amount. This truck is lacking in just about every category.Let's start with the main safety concern: obviously, wherever this truck is manufactured there are no safety standards the toys are put through prior to being released to the market. The plastic that the truck body is made from, has nothing but sharp edges all over edges around the door window cut outs, the lower side panels of the truck, and the front, and rear areas of the underside of the body overhang on the truck. Even as an adult, handling the toy, and recognizing its shortcomings, there were many times where I almost slit gashes in my own well aged fingers. I am sure that a young child with more delicate, sensitive skin would have easily slit gashes in their fingers when handling this truck's body surfaces.The actual functionality of the vehicle is disappointing that there is not proportional control on the steering, or acceleration. That is pretty much a standard when you get into consumer vehicles of this price range, especially when we are not dealing with high-powered vehicles, which this would definitely classify as.The speed is mediocre on a paved type surface, and slowly acceptable in a grassy terrain. The four-wheel-drive does allow the unit to drive over various bumps, and obstacles that it can handle, and instead of the motor completely stopping once the vehicle is put under a load, it does continue to try and pull its way through the load as best it can.
