More that I wanted to spend but this gadget actually works and saves hours from the Sawzall!
I usually post pics for my reviews, but my 4" steel pipes from the 1940s not a great look. For the folks complaining about the product seizing, try WD-40 or equivalent this device has 4 cutting wheels that gets wet with sludgy waters, pure mechanics. This is essentially a larger version of a 1/2 inch copper pipe cutter which most of us DIY guys know about!My review of this product is a pleasant surprise, I spent years chopping at my house pipes with a Sawzall (and never straight) and thought that I was a superhero when I could cut 4 inches within a half hour; but this product, wow like a professional chain cutter; I clamp the pipe, tighten it, make a couple of rounds, and after the third iteration you hear that infamous snap with an even cut! So what generally takes 30 minutes to an hour with a Sawzall, this gadget snaps it in 2 to 3 minutes easily!If you have and old house with old metal pipe, you will eventually run into the issue of needing this tool! well worth the $$ Keep the cutting wheels oiled! ONE CAVEAT to mention, some of the cast iron pipes have raised lettering labeling embossed on them, unfortunately this tool requires a smooth rounded surface to rotate around, in this case spend a minute or 2 with a grinder or dremel to smoothen i out and then you are good to go! You will more than likely need to do this to put a pipe clamp on it anyway.Good Luck Fellas!

Cuts Steel Pipe Underwater
I have a 3” OD pipe supported dock that I modified and needed to remove 4 pipes. After trying to pull them unsuccessfully, I decided to give this cutter a try. My buddy is a diver and was able cut them right above the mud line. Placed a bag of sackcrete on the cut pipe to protect in case anyone ever came into contact with it. First cut only took 7 minutes. Didn’t time the other cuts but were just as fast. This tool worked perfectly!

It is exactly what I wanted. I'm cutting PVC pipe rings and even though it is for metal pipe, it works great. Tracks very good and cuts the pipe about 95% complete
