No, and it is cruel. It presses on the dog's larynx. To stop pulling, get a Freedom Harness. They have front and back connections and 1 leash that attaches to both. Stops pulling and is humane. And you don't have to strangle or cause pain to your dog. Obviously the best thing of course is to train your dog not to pull. ;)

I have the same problem with my 80 lb lab/pit mix. I would say that it helps a little in that it helps to not choke him, but it does not help once he goes out of control. However, it does help get control of him in normal situations and you need to see the other dog first and make him sit next to you as the dog goes by. Hope this helps.

Pit bulls and boxers are normally a medium. My dog weighs about 100 pounds and he's a large. I'm not sure if the sizing is on Amazon's site but it's:Small 13" - 15" (33 - 38 cm)Medium 16" - 19" (40.5 - 48.25 cm)Large 20" - 23" (51 - 58.5 cm)
