I have two of these now so I can keep one for cartridges and use the other with bags without having to change the plungers over each time (the kits come with both options). They are easily and finely adjustable to get the flow rate you want, can be fully disassembled for cleaning, have an automatic slight retraction on release to avoid dripping, and a 3Ah battery lasts two full days of use.You can use them for grout and pointing mortar with a suitable mix. They are mainly aimed at tasks where you need an exact and controllable flow, but are great tools for general use too.My first one is now 3 years old and still going strong. With a good quality manual gun lasting me about 2 months and costing £30 the Makita 18V one paid for itself after 12 months.The best bit? No more banging a gun frame on the floor to release a stuck action while it continues to push sealant everywhere!

A wonderful way to use multiple sealant tubes without ending up with forearms the size of Popeye. Full control of flow from subtle to a complete tube evacuation in 4 seconds. Highly recomended. A doddle for the 18v batteries even ones as low as 3 ah. Went through 25 sealant tubes on a 3 ah battery and upon completion, all led's lit up. Impressive.

I do bird proofing on buildings and solar panels. This is a great bit of kit, no hand ache and you can adjust the flow. Only down side is its a little heavy.

What an amazing tool! Probably saved me a days work or a two week project

It’s good, and definitely better than a manual one as you get a constant flow rate and less overspill. It has one major shortcoming though in that the slowest flow setting just isn’t quite slow enough for really precise application.
