Great for sawdust bricketts
I had seen all the negative reviews about the traditional method of making bricketts and thought this would be a good tool to use up my ever increasing sawdust. I took the plunge and purchased one. I use news paper to keep the dust in and then keep adding more until the mould is full. It compresses it enough to allow the paper to be wrapped around and taped down. They are instantly usable and burn slowly. I don't think they produce a great amount of heat but this method uses up something that would other wise be thrown away.

It works! Very handy and burns ok
So I was a bit sceptical about this product and if they would actually burn ok, but I’m glad to say it worked, and they burn on a log burner pretty well, but it needs to be hot and been burning for a while.A top tip would be to shred all paper and cardboard from boxes, packaging etc, with no sellotape or plastics, then add to a large container over time to build up the variety of types. I use an old dustbin, then I mix with warm water and use a drill paddle mixer, this smashes them into a paper mache mulch, this can then be formed using the briquette maker. They do take a long time to dry, so you may need to use an airing cupboard or pry them near a radiator for about 1-2 weeks, when they are dry and rock hard they can be burnt. It’s a great way of recycling your waste paper and Amazon packaging. Highly recommended

Good product.
The item works ok. The process is quite slow but is very rewarding to be producing our own fuel from waste paper.

A little modification helps!
The product does what it is supposed to do, turning paper/cardboard pulp into bricks. However, due to the sides of the product being 2.5mm, they tend to bulge when compressing the pulp, which leads to the pulp being pushed past the sides of the cage. With a little modification using strips of wood and a couple of clamps to prevent the sides from bulging, helps the whole process.

Easy to use, I hope to make a few before Winter, but I've not burnt 🔥 any yet.
