This is a great gift idea. Got it for my daughter and she had a great time putting it together. The details are great. Instructions are easy to follow, and it seems like it will last a long time. Will make a great decorative addition to any book shelf

This is my first build like this. I've done three lego sets (bonsai, fender guitar/amp, and camper van) and love them, but legos are expensive af. So I discovered this world of miniature builds and this is my first one. I LOVE it. I have about 19 hours in it. It is extremely detailed. You will need glue, patience, an exacto knife, and a safe environment for fragile parts. (I have three cats and dog, I kept the tiny drying pieces in a shoe box) I used the transparent Elmer's glue and gorilla super glue for a couple of places. The gorilla glue bubbles and dries white so don't use it in visible areas. The super glue was a life saver, especially on the balcony part. The light kit wasn't very well explained in the instructions, so look ahead on that front so you can see where all the wires are supposed to go. Honestly, this is my first build and I couldn't be happier with the process, the instructions, and the result. (Except for the wiring thing, but if I figured it out, you will too!) 10/10 Also, I found out at the end that apparently there's a music box option. Just get it because I wish I would have.

Challenging to assemble but that is what I was looking for. Mindful project work with nice reward once finished. Great fun & so cute once complete , looks amazing on my bookshelf, nice conversation piece

Overall I loved this project and it took me the exact length of the audiobook "The Only One Left" by Riley Sager to complete (6hrs 24min). I am reviewing a year later to make sure the thing held up and it's still workingA few tips:-When you assemble all of the books, keep them in organized piles/bags/what have you - you'll need to know which are which as you begin the larger assembly-When assembling the sensor, make sure its plugged in to the wire. Almost impossible to plug in after glued assembly unless you have long forceps, grip strength, and the patience of a saint-The very last panel was cut in a way where the 3 sides + base would absolutely not fit together. I had to get the saw out and shave off maybe a quarter inch to get it close enough to fit and then clamp it down while the glue dried. I still have tape holding it together across the back. I noticed other reviewers who purchased around the same time had the same issue so I am hoping this is fixed

Such a great entry to DIY miniature and thanks to it, I'm hooked.From previous reviews, I got a wood glue which made starting easy.

This decoration is so adorable! It has very many steps to put it together, but it has a guide and it's a fun project to work on. Would make a good gift for someone who likes books and doing crafts.

I got scammed twice on this product from other sellers (not from Amazon), but I really liked it, so I finally broke down and bought it from here. I'm so glad I did. It was perfect. I used regular Elmer's school glue and it was just fine. I loved putting together all the little pieces. Everything went together correctly, it is good quality. The instructions are easy to follow. I will probably get another different one.

This kit is really great quality! Fun to put together and really like that the light is already connected to the battery pack. Would highly recommend!
