MY FAV
This is literally the only thing I’m keeping when I move. Easy to put together, perfect height, very sturdy, so cute and comfy. Sometimes I even use this instead of my work chair but then I add a pillow. I love them

Gorgeous chairs, great customer service
I love these chairs and their airy boho 70s vibe. The cane is real, i.e. woven plant material, so it has natural variations from the reeds used and the weaving process. It doesn’t have the squeaky perfection of plastic —this is a plus for me, YMMV.The square-ish frame of the backs is solid wood and sanded smooth. The seat cushions are very firm; I’m guessing particle board with foam wrap. It needs that sturdiness to physically hold the chair together. They’re comfy enough for dining chairs, but I wouldn’t want to sit for hours. There’s a very slight bounce which really takes me back to when my aunt had similarly shaped chairs when I was a small kid. Just love that.I forgot to take photos of the assembly, but it is indeed quite challenging by yourself. However, it CAN be done by one person if you’re determined: lay the frame on its side on soft carpet and drape yourself firmly but gently across it to squeeze the sides together enough to get the screws lined up. This kind of tension is necessary for structural integrity, so it’s not a bug. Assembly was simple, but not easy. It went quickly once I figured out the drape/body-squeeze technique. Or you could just be less impatient than I and get a second person to help lol. For each chair, the metal frame has 3 pieces: two L-shaped smaller pieces that form the back and go under the seat, and one large piece that is the entire base and legs, and meets the other pieces under the seat. Don’t tighten the seat screws until you have all four of them 3/4 of the way in. Attaching the back is the last step and is a breeze. You’ll want to attach to two lower screws first, about halfway in, and then the upper screws. Tighten the upper screws before the lower ones—there’s a slight curve in the frame right at the lower screw level, and if you tighten the lower screws first, the back won’t lie completely flat across the top.Customer service: one of the backs had a dark 3” round stain in the center of the cane. There was no way I was unassembling both chairs, sending them back, and reassembling a new set. So instead of a return through amazon, I contacted the seller Zesthouse directly. They were so friendly and nice and sent a replacement back very quickly (only 5 days including a weekend!) with no reluctance or charge. All in all, just an unusually delightful experience.

Comfy, look reasonable
Super easy to put together, and the foam is thick and comfy! The leather looks a tiny bit cheap and plasticky but honestly for the price these chairs are incredible. They are easy to clean and fit the look of my apartment as well. The chair height is good too, I don’t have an issue with the backs being too low like I saw some reviews said.

I'm blown away by the quality of these chairs!
Girl, listen. These chairs are EVERYTHING. I looked at more expensive sets, sets twice the price of these or more, and being the brave boi/broke boi I am, I went with these. I. Am. So. Pleased. I was absolutely expecting at this price point to have something flimsy but okay-looking, but these babies are SOLID and HANDSOME. Let me start with the care the seller put into packaging. I've included pictures so you can see. Not only was everything carefully wrapped to perfection, but the packer even left little loose-tied tails on the wrapping around the bases to assist in an easy unwind. I'm serious, those wrapping tails are worth it by themselves. SO thoughtful! Next: Ease of assembly. Bruh. Dude. There are 5 pieces for each chair and 4 bolts for the base and 4 bolts for the backrests. That's it. No Mensa-level mess over here. All the holes lined up perfectly on all 4 chairs I ordered; nothing was cross-threaded; everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt. My partner and I had 4 chairs put together in under 20 minutes. Quality. Here's the biggun. I was expecting Mainstays weight metal tubing for the legs and the backrests. Nah. The metal bases are THICC. They're hefty and weighty and powder-coated in something that makes any light scuff marks just disappear if you rub a finger over them. And the BACKRESTS ARE ALL WOOD. Nobody mentioned that in their reviews, so I was stunned. It's not a metal surround with some cheap plastic rattan. It's wood, baby. Wood surround. Wood rattan. I dunno how they made it so well for so cheap, but they found a freaking way. The seats are wiiiiiiiide for those winter thighs and the foam is dense and firm but still cushy as heck. I've been sitting on one of these chairs for half an hour writing this review, and my sciatica don't even care. I got the black velvet fabric, and to be fair, it ain't velvet. But it is the slickest microfiber I've ever laid my butt on. Top quality. Soft and pleasant with none of those foam-on-foam feels when you wiggle your clothed booty on it. So. I'm saying. Get these dang chairs.

Love them!!!!
The instructions say you need 2 people to build the chairs, for reference I’m super pregnant about to give birth and I was able to build 6 of these pretty comfortably in about 2 hours, instructions are super simple and only require 8 screws per chair. Chairs are very good quality and look more expensive than what they were! Only downside I would say is that the backrest is not the most comfortable but that are super cute, stylish chairs. Overall would recommend if you are going for this mid-century look 😊

Good looking and solid
No matter what you call it, Modern Bauhaus Dining Chair or Mid-Century Modern Side Chair, It feels like an iconic, timeless piece of chair. I like the brown version because it matches my light-colored wood dining table well. The engineering and materials are good. The chair is stable and comfortable. It's aesthetically a mix of classic and modern design. It also have a good weight, which makes it not too light/flimsy and not too heavy. The armless design also makes it easy to get in and out.
