I accidentally ran these over with my car
I usually don’t write reviews but I accidentally ran these poles over with my car and they were perfectly fine so I had to make an exception. Super lightweight, functional, and excellent on the trail.

Super sturdy super lightweight
Super lightweight, much much lighter than my original el cheapo ones, you can barely feel the weight in your hands. Very sturdy too. But because it's lightweight you don't get as much of anti shock but seriously after hours of holding them in your hands during a hike, I can forgo this feature. Very sturdy too, held me up during some rocky terrain when I almost fell, recommend!

Works great but with a warning
I have bought a total of 4 pairs of this Fizan trekking poles, mainly because these are the lightest poles that I have used, and I have given away two pairs to those who were struggling on some trails. And I have previously posted 5-star ratings in the past. Here is the reason for my 4-star rating this time.I have used these poles in rain on my recent Yosemite trip. I put those away, i.e. shorten them, while they were still wet but I didn't realize that when I did. The next time I tried to use them, I could not get them loosen up to extend it.I came home and use the priers to turn them loose and found the poles were covered with white/pale powder. My guess is that the aluminum inside got corroded, and thus; poles got tightened. I have cleaned it and it seems to get easier to use now. I report any updates for any changes.

Unbeatable Ultralight Aluminum Trekking Poles
These are the poles recommended by Durston specifically as best for use with their X-Mid tents. I actually bought them before even considering the tent because the price-to-weight ratio seemed unbeatable. I was not at all disappointed! For aluminum, these things are light enough to contend with the popular carbon fiber poles on the market. Further, they will bend rather than break on the off chance you jam them deep between two rocks as just so happened to me in Rocksylvania, in fact. Of course now the one bent pole won't fully collapse, so when I need to take them down, I just pull that segment out completely.I never had to replace these poles (I still use them now) and they are one of the most used pieces of gear on a hike. In addition to the bend, I wore the carbide tips smooth. The ends where they connect also built up a good bit of salt and dirt that has caused them to bind up more now. The handles have darkened from sweat and dirt, but never fell apart. These use a twist lock feature which is a big help for keeping them light. However, they may slip a bit when subjected to hard stops or used to catch a fall. The twist lock is more convenient, I think, when setting up a trekking pole tent when compared to a latching pole. Even with the few drawbacks listed above, I would absolutely buy a new pair of these to replace my current set for a future long hike.

Sleek, lightweight, sturdy, WORTHLESS
They are sleek and so light it's hard to believe, yet they seem quite sturdy. The grips are a little small, but the adjustable straps help to compensate; if you use them right they sort of "grip you back". I'd really like to give them five stars, but they tend to slip if you don't screw them down very tight. And if you're not careful, you'll screw them down so tight you can't unlock them. Happened to one of mine and I had to finish a 34-mile hike with short poles.UPDATE: Downgraded from four stars to one. I never was able to unstick my stuck pole. I researched it (there are whole web pages devoted to this problem) and tried everything. It will not budge. They are worthless to me now. Even if I could get it loose, I could never trust them again. I got maybe half a dozen day hikes out of them, and they're now garbage.

Made in Italy
I have used these trekking poles for at least 500 kilometers. Just to name a few.. I've used it on the Salkantay trail AND Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru, Annapurna Circuit AND Poon Hill in Nepal, Cloud Forest in Costa Rica, O Circuit Torres del Paine in Patagonia, Mount Taygetos in Greece, Napa Valley Vine trail AND Yosemite Falls in California, etc. From all that use, the carbide tips, baskets, and flexy expanders have been worn out but it is easy to find a replacement part online. It has not only proved its lightweight durability and ease of maintenance but also the eco-friendliness from the ease of finding replacement parts. Lastly, the fact that this is made in Italy means that the workers who made this have basic rights and protections. This is the only trekking pole I'll ever use for as long as I am able to.

Great Value For Italian Quality
So pleased that these are actually made in Italy. They are sturdy with comfortable straps and ergonomic grips. Slightly heavier than the lightest carbon poles, but less than 1/2 the price and still among the lightest on the market.
