A big surprise blockbuster
Like a couple of other reviewers on here, I also saw the trailer for The A-Team at the cinema and thought 'hmm, I might have to give that one a wide berth'.Having been on a long flight recently though (I ain't getting on no plane - which is actually a double negative, so I did get on the plane in the end) with limited viewing options, I selected to watch the A-Team and I absolutely loved every minute of it.In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ordered the blu-ray upon my return and must have watched it a stack of times over the past few weeks, enjoying it more and more with each viewing. It is just excellent fun with some fantastic action sequences to boot! Some of the dialogue between the main characters (mostly involving Murdoch) is also genuinely extremely funny. From another big fan of the 80s tv show, it was just great to see such an excellent conversion to the big screen and a reminder why we loved these characters from the original series. So, hang your brain on a hook for a couple of hours and enjoy the one of the best movies (for me anyway) of 2010.

Good, fun film
I loved the 80s TV series s felt sure that the film would be a disappointment but it was not. It's good fun and although I can't remember whether it is suitable for children, it was enjoyable to watch with elderly parents with no blushes!!Bought this as a christmas gift for a male in his 30s and it was well received.

Un-missable
I remember, the original A-team, and was made to suffer regularly when my brother watched it. Just as I made him suffer with my girlie programs. Now, being older, I appreciate a good action program or film, so long as it's more than just flying bullets and explosions. This film does it for me. It has the explosions, but it also has the story line. The humour doesn't go amiss, either. I took my stepdaughter, who doesn't remember the original, and she loved it too. So i'd say it's good for those who do remember the original, and those who don't. My one small complaint, and it's only a tiny one, is that in the trailers for the film, there's a scene where B.A is cleaning windows on a tower block while loading his gun. Whilst doing this task, he's whistling the old theme tune to the A-Team. I thought this was funny. In the film, however, he's not.Despite this faux-pas advertising, I enjoyed the film so much, I am ordering the DVD for my husband as a Christmas present. This way, I can watch it again myself without using precious space on my own christmas wish list. Ha Ha.

A+
This is one hell of a film and an excellent beginning for what I hope becomes a franchise. The characters are excellently portrayed with a more modern focus, especially Murdoch, where South African actor Sharlto Copley simply nails the essence of Howling mad. Liam Neeson is cool and very understated as Hannibal, he's given the character some welcome quirks too. Face is funny, whilst doing what he does brilliantly and what can I say about BA, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson nails him too, excellent all over again. Indeed the word for this movie is excellent! It is entertainment at its finest. The team get together at the beginning of the movie - not sure if I can remember the series ever showing that - so it was a welcome addition for me. The extended explosive edition has some more scenes and extended scenes - showing the story better than the original cinema release.I would wholly recommend this movie to anyone that likes to see a refreshing of an old favourite. Don't compare it to the series, that was a classic - see it as a whole new experience.

It ain't 80s TV. It's a film with Liam Neeson!!
I Used to love watching The A-Team as a kid. This, however, is a film version many years after the original series. Plenty of action, a few good laughs, and lots of neat plans (some a tad overboard, but it's a film!!) I didn't really want to watch it as i expected it would ruin my thoughts of Liam Neeson as a top actor, gladly I was wrong. He played Hannibal perfectly, and none of the other main characters harmed their respective roles. Would love to see a sequel but maybe there won't be one.

Explosive it is...
Having followed the series when I was small, naturally, I was excited when I found out that an updated Movie version was to come out. The casting (to me) stayed close to how I remembered the characters as a child. Hannibal - the planner; Face - the womaniser; Murdoch - crazy insane medic and BA - scared of flying...We all knew that even back then in the TV show, the plot played secondary to what these folks will concoct up. The way they plan and execute was nothing short of trilling, even if it had always defied logic and science. But hey, that's why we loved it right? And THAT's what the film stayed true to.My one gripe? Pity the van didn't play a much more significant role...
