Excellent.
I bought and used this on a second attempt at a painting job which hadn't worked out too well due to paint creeping underneath some "regular" masking tape. The difference was like night and day - the Tesa Precision Edge tape resulted in an excellent finish which I'm really happy with. The job involved masking over some wood which had been varnished 2 weeks previously and also in some areas over a final coat of emulsion which had been applied the previous day. The tape removed perfectly, without pulling up any varnish or emulsion and left a perfect line.I note there are a few comments in reviews here about the Tesa Precision tape pulling off paint underneath - it was as a result of these that I originally delayed buying the Tesa tape and attempted the job above using "regular" masking tape first, which I regret. All I can say is that there is clearly a trade-off between masking tape sticking well enough to provide a nice clean finish yet still being easy to remove without damaging a surface underneath. If the paint you are masking over has not been applied well or the surface below it was not properly prepared then I suspect most masking tape is going to pull some of it off. Leaving the paint underneath to cure as long as possible will also help (I was a little apprehensive about masking one-day-old emulsion...).For me this tape is excellent and well worth the premium over "regular" masking tape. It gave a clean line and did not damage the one-day-old coat of emulsion underneath. I have seen it cheaper around than the £5.25 I paid for it here on Amazon, although shipping costs might nullify this if you weren't placing a large enough order with another supplier to get free shipping (hooray for Amazon Super Saver Delivery). Cheers.

Great!
I actually think this tape is excellent. Better than any I have used before. Nice crisp lines and no paint pulled off where unwanted.

Very good for the price
I bought 2 rolls of this tape to achieve a straight edge between the ceiling and the wall as I was not putting coving at the ceiling and wall edges. I applied the tape to a single painted base coat of plastered wall and then painted the ceiling edges. No paint got through and the tape was relatively easy to remove. I didn't have to worry about leaving it on the wall surfaces for too long as it can be left for a few days. I was painting over a period of a week and a half. When I took the tape off, it took a minor amount of paint off, however this didn't bother me as I had to go around the edges to touch up anyway. I should have probably used the tape straight on the plastered surface of the wall, but didn't discover the tape until after commencing the painting. For the price, it sure beats Frog tape (from B&Q) which was double the price and didn't have as good a rating.I didn't give it the full 5 stars only because it did take off little flecks of the paint, however this likely would not have happened had the tape been applied straight onto the skimmed surface. If the tape had not removed some of the paint, then it would have been perfect - but I don't know any tape that can do that - not remove any paint off a skimmed wall surface...does anyone know?I have one more room to renovate at a later date and will definitely use this tape again.

The best tape by far
I have tried all kinds of tape and I won't buy anything else at this point. Better than Frog or Scotch.A couple of times it has pulled a little paint off the wall but I have used many many meters of this stuff and it is a rare occurrence if the paint underneath has dried for a week. You will see this tip in other reviews but I cannot stress this enough to you:Do not just rely on this (or any) tape to avoid paint bleeding underneath and creating rough edges. Yes the tape does a reasonable job but if you want perfection you should "seal the tape".It's really easy to do -- if you are putting the tape, on say a white wall, then you paint over the tape with some white paint first (enough to cover the joining edge). Seriously, first paint the colour underneath not the new colour. Then when the white is dry enough you paint your new colour over the top. If you haven't tried this before then prepare to have your mind blown at the result.Essentially by applying some of the white paint (or whatever colour is under your tape) first you are allowing that white paint to bleed under/into the imperfections of the tape. When dry it creates a perfect seal that prevents any of your new colour from getting under the tape and spoiling your lines.

Best low tac tape
I am In the process of refurbishing a house and painting all bedrooms and as such have used at least 5 different low tac masking tapes. This is now the tape that I am repeatedly rebuying. It sticks sufficiently and removes less paint that any other product I have used. Remove the tape slowly, at a sharp angle (i.e. don't pull it off at a 45 degree angle from below) this reduces the risk of the paint peeling. It may cost a little more, but saves so much time going around and touching up edges where other tapes would have pulled off the paint. No paint spills through.

Peeled paint a bit
Worked well on most of what I done but it did peel some of the paint off when it was removed which is disappointing as it’s quite expensive tape.

Best tape ever, makes an amateur look like a pro!
I'm a newbie to interior decorating and have tried various tapes but this stuff is brilliant. It is sticky enough to stay on the wall but doesn't pull the paint off... Even when I flaked out and left a section over night. It's thin enough so it doesn't leave an ugly ridge and gives a crisp edge. It's made my attempts look very professional even when I know I'm rubbish. It's very easy to use.. I have a little bit of plastic I use to make sure the edges are well sealed. Overall really pleased with it.
