Does what it's supposed to
First time making jam, I wish this came with instructions but otherwise it does what it says it does. I tried to make a paste by adding it to water and it went so thick so fast I had to throw it and start again. We live and learn hey.. :-)

Good product
Use this to make blackberry jam and only needed a small amount works well as I do t like using too much sugar. I’m also using organic coconut sugar rather than refined and works fine.

If used right, it's great
I bought this a year ago and I'm only just coming to the end of the pack after:- 2 batches of blackberry jam- 1 batch of lemon & lime marmalade- 1 batch of damson jam- 1 batch of strawberry jamFollow the instructions! 2.5g - 5g pectin per 1kg of fruit. Depending on the fruit you will need more or less. Damsons, for example, are quite naturally high in pectin so I didn't need so much. But blackberries are not so I was a lot more heavy handed when making blackberry jam (didn't add enough in the first batch so did not make that mistake again!!). I do not use jam sugar, it's too much of a pain to get hold of.This pack has the benefit of being very small. It's about the size of a post-it-note so it doesn't take up horrendous amounts of space in my cupboard for something I'll use a handful of times a year.I'm very pleased with it, and surprised I've made enough jam to work through it in a year!If you only make the odd bit of home preserves, this is a good buy.P.S. if you're adding the entire packet into one batch of jam/marmalade then you're either trying to solve world hunger with homemade jam, or adding too much

How much needed?
Measurement of quantity to be used in homely units would be helpful. What does 10g look like?

Set in Doubt
It does what it says on the wrapper. What it does not say how much should be used in a variety of mixtures. I may well have used far too much, certainly the result was a kind of jam. I do not remember seeing any storage instructions for left over powder, but then I used the lot so no problems

Saved my marmalade!
This saved my runny, unset marmalade!! Easy to use, just boil to 105C and add the amount stated on the packet, adding another teaspoon if required. Would definitely purchase again.
