I can’t believe I did it
I’ve been going to get sugar waxed professionally for about a year so the hair on my legs has certainly lessened and thinned out. With summer and needing to wax more often I wondered if I could do it at home (I don’t shave at all anymore) to be able to do it more often and save money.I tested out some pre-waxed strips on my armpits and they worked ok and got the majority of hair but with not being able to do spots more than 2 times without heavy irritation I decided that wasn’t going to be a good route for my legs.Leaving this review after just one use of Sugardoh. It really is a great product and I already love it! It can be messy, especially for a first timer so here’s my experience:I watched a few videos on their YouTube and read the leg instructions on their website. It all seemed pretty straightforward but I knew it wasn’t going to be perfect or super easy the first time. I took a shower and exfoliated beforehand, got out, dried off and put some of the pre-waxing powder on my legs before I started. I got a ping pong size ball of wax out and started to try and smear it on to my leg with the plastic applicator but it wasn’t going on very easily. I used my fingers instead for a bit which seemed to work better until the product warmed up a bit but it sticks everywhere! It took me probably an hour to get my legs done. I hopped in the shower after I was done and rinsed off any residue. The key is getting a good thinned out layer on before pulling. In my opinion, this process honestly hurts more than the actual waxing - maybe because my hair was long and it was really grabbing it. I did get a little red sensitively right after but it went away after a few hours. It was easy to touch up small areas I missed. I also love that this product is compostable and you don’t have to use strips or create a bunch of waste with popsicle sticks or anything.I’m looking forward to trying my armpits and maybe bikini line. I don’t think I’ll be brave enough to do my full Brazilian, I’ll leave that to my pro girl!

Sweet success to sugar waxing
The media could not be loaded. I was a bit nervous trying sugar waxing for the first time, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked! I thought it would be super painful, but it was actually much more manageable than I expected. The key is to follow the instructions and take your time. I found that heating the sugar wax in hot water helped it to soften and made it easier to apply. The reusable applicator and cloth strips that come with the kit made the process so much easier. I loved that I could just wash and reuse them! Once I got the hang of it, sugar waxing became a breeze. My skin felt so smooth and silky afterwards.Overall, I'm so glad I gave sugar waxing a try. It's definitely a game-changer for hair removal, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a effective and relatively painless solution.

if at first you don’t succeed, try again
I think overall, this is a great product. I love the concept and idea. It took me an hour to do both arms from elbow to wrist the first time. The second arm went a lot better than the first arm as are definitely is a learning curve. I could see this getting easier and easier every time I use it. I wasn’t clear on how to use the cloths and then continue to use the sugar doh as I couldn’t get the doh off the cloth. I switched to the applicator and use this. It was painful for me to apply and they have a ton of videos and support so it suggested going slower and that helped a lot so if it is painful, I would go slow. It definitely removed Hair. I have very dark hair and a lot of of it on my arms and they are no longer. I attached a video in photos if you zoom in you can see on one arm the after and the other arm before. Looking forward to trying it on my legs and armpits.Helpful hints:- do you wash the area with soap and water prior to use- use any kind of powder or even flour, almond flour, or any kind of drying agent baby powder before starting- warm up the product in the microwave if you can’t get it out of the jar. Only do five seconds at a time.- watch the tutorial videos and read the cards that come with it as these are all very helpful- if you struggle the first time, keep trying and use the claw the versus the applicator versus just your own fingers until you get the hang of it

Excellent Waxing
Fabulous. Shark Tank missed a great opportunity. Easy to use. Will save me money being able to do this at home.

If you're on the fence, GO FOR IT!
I never leave reviews, but this product is MAGICAL! Everyone thought I had lost it when I said that I wanted to sugar my underarms, but this was easy and (relatively) painless, just like getting it done professionally. I got too confident and attempted to sugar my bikini line, but due to my skill level, I'll leave that one to the professionals! If you're on the fence - go for it!!

Easy to learn and use, effective product
Small learning curve but the brand has a lot of videos to help out. If you make a mistake you can just wash it away, no need to worry about ripping out your mistakes

Meh
It does an okay job. It gets most hairs pretty good, but misses some, so my legs were pretty patchy. It’s not super painful, just depends on how sensitive the area is. It gets pretty sticky and messy, though. I recommend either doing it in the shower or having a bowl of water, a hand towel, a cup for the used dough, and some paper towels with you when you do it. I also bruised from it pretty bad. I don’t think it’s for me personally, and I’d only recommend to someone who can handle a normal waxing, or getting a tattoo, as well as someone who doesn’t care if it’s a little messy. Otherwise, I think I’d just go for an epilator.

Value is worth it
First try was tough but after that it was easy. I use baking powder for the area and my hands which helps alot. If you’re nervous and sweating it helps so that the wax doesn’t get extra soft. This really helped me. It works you just have to be patient and ready to have some trial and error. But it is a great alternative to paying for a wax for sure. I wish it came with more cloth strips but I used a cotton wash cloth cut into strips and it worked just as good.
