I never thought of that but it could hold crochet hooks

Q: Does this have a place to hold a coloring or sketch book?

The pencil case was not designed to hold a standard sized coloring book. There is a pocket on the front of the case that might accommodate a thin sketch book or several pages of 7" x10" sketch paper or smaller in a protective folder.

Q: The front label is distracting, does it look like something that I could remove? Is it just sewn on?

The stitches around the label are quite large and would be easily removed.

Q: Can it hold an assortment of gel pens and colored pencils
