I decided to paint on a totebag as a gift to a family member. I looked thru several options and chose this one hoping that the quality would be decent. When I received the package, I was absolutely gobsmacked at how the bag exceeded my expectations. The fabric is thick and the bag looked sturdy overall. No loose stitching that I saw. The shape was also really nice as it has a flat bottom. The handles are also long enough to sit comfortably on the shoulder. I painted on it using fabric paint and the paint did not go thru at all! I used a lot of water and several layers of paint and you can hardly see any transfer on the other side. I am very pleased with the bag and will order more from this brand. I have not used it since it is a present, but I can imagine that it will last for a while.

I love these totes because they are very thick and sturdy. The only thing is that they do hold wrinkles if you’re not careful with dyeing them (especially with a medium to dark color). Nonetheless, it’s my fault for the wrinkles because I didn’t stir as I was dyeing.My second tote dyeing was the light pink/salmon in the photo. Turned out beautifully and way less wrinkles!Very good for crafting projects, good for designing and selling on Etsy.If you have to iron them, spray the tote with water and set your iron to steam.

Sturdy material, strong handles.

I washed these in the machine directly after receiving them in order to prep them for the natural dye project I bought them for. They came out of the machine with holes in the seams and the fabric completely frayed. Not at all durable, not washable, and no longer usable.
