Not the quality as my previous one
This was my 2nd purchase of this. My first one lasted 8 years and worked great so I ordered another one. However the second one stopped working 2 1/2 months since I got it. It just won't turn on. So now I have to get another brand. I am very disappointed.

Great steamer!
I bought this in 2023 when I had Covid. It has been a great tool to use for colds. It's very thoughtfully designed and packaged. I bought 2 more thag year as gifts for others because I have been so happy with mine. I would recommend it. Hopefully the quality hasn't changed since then!

Works well
I've been using Mabis steamers for chronic sinusitis for about ten years in two different locations. The first one purchased eventually started to die I planned to buy a new one. However, when I started shopping I saw the Veridian which, while it looked just like the Mabis and had overall good reviews, cost about $20 less, so I decided to give it a try. I'm very pleased. I'd be very surprised if the Veridian and Mabis steamers aren't made by the same manufacturer. They look exactly the same except for the labeling, and after a couple of weeks of use I've found no real difference in operation. My only complaint is that the Veridian seems to sputter a little at the end of the cycle, but with no effect on or danger to me. The steam in both brands gets a little too hot sometimes, but not hot enough to scald, and the markings on the water measuring cups are hard to read (easily remedied with a permanent marker).

LPR relief with Veridian. Try this with 9.5ph Alkaline water. It works for me.
I started suffering from LPR a couple years ago and over the last six months it got worse. I did all the research and everything I was suppose to (Dr. Koufman's diet, don't eat 4 hours before bedtime... etc). I improved but not all the way. I tried drinking Alkaline water and it helped but the problem is it wouldn't get to the larynx and airways. So I bought this steam inhaler with the intent to try steam inhaling Essentia 9.5ph water to denature Pepsin in my larynx and airways. It seems to work! I have been using this inhaler a few times a day, including if I feel the symptoms coming on. This unit works great. It sometimes gets pretty hot towards the end of the cycle but you just back off. It is very simple to use. I am posting this review for any LPR sufferers looking for relief. This is definitely worth a try. Also, I could have written a ton more about LPR and why this works, but I didn't want this to be too long and assumed if you have LPR and are here you already have the info.Edit 11-7-17> Unit continues to work great and I can't imagine managing my LPR without it at this point. I use it on average 3 to 4 times a day. I tested the ph of the steam residual and while it drops a full point due to the heating process it is still about 8.5. So it is important to start with the 9.5ph water or above since it needs to be a ph above 8 to denature Pepsin. This is not a cure by any means but rather a treatment of the symptoms, which does help the tissue heal as well. Still trying to get the diet thing right... issues come and go. I hope this helps.

Great product, but stopped working after a few uses
It gives great steam, just what I needed, but stopped working after a few uses. Not sure why.

It's not returnable to Amazon...beware.
I recieved a broken/defective unit, and upon attempting to return the unit, it informed you have to send it to the company in Illinois at your own cost. They will determine if its a product issue or not, and send you a new unit. The postage is the cost of the unit, so it's absolutely a tactic for the company to not take responsibility for their defective product.
