They do the job, but probably overpriced
They definitely reduce the turbulence levels around intakes. I do think they are overpriced for what they are.

Useless in my case
Bought these spacers for the 2x120mm intake fans in my Define 7 Mini which like most cases nowadays has a combo of 120/140mm slits to accommodate and position 120/140mm fans.. Problem here is these slits resonate with the fans blades edges passing behind them and creating turbulence and an annoying humming noise. Installing these spacers only marginally if at all alleviate this issue, these intake fans being the one loudest noise source in my PC.Should I have known, I would've only bought the silicone mounting pins that I have ended up using along with two frames cut from two old 120mm fans which I have now used instead of Noctua's 5mm spacers. Turns out that the 25mm fan frames used as spacers give an almost perfect result with no more humming noise coming from the slits as they are too far from the fan blades to resonate.25mm might even be overkill, but until I'll have any other "standard" pre made pieces that i can use as "spacers" I could not tell where the thickness threshold might be. For now I wouldn't want to spend money on a set of thin fans just to test that. It might be 10mm, or 15mm or 20mm.. who knows.. For now I can tell for sure that 5mm simply is not enough.

Do the job!
Produce a good seal to allow air to pass without turbulence noise.

Replaced AIO fans with Noctua fans and these spaces -- much quieter and works better!
I replaced the fans of my Corsair H100i RGB Platinum with Noctua A12 fans. The difference was quieter, but I stumbled onto these spacers. These are marketed as helpful for AIO fans, so I bought a set. Turns out, Notcua fans can indeed get quieter--and the AIO performs better too!For reference, I can turn these fans up to 75% RPM and not mind the noise. The old ML120 fans were so damn noisy at any speed above 50%. Cooling efficiency is a lot better as well. Highly recommend Noctua fans and these spaces if you don't mind ugly fans. I did get the redux ones though, which are dark gray/black and look nicer than the usual Noctua brown.

Worked in my case
I was using a 120mm Noctua industrial fan on a hexagonal exhaust grill. Before using the spacer, it caused an insane high-pitched whine, sounding like it was a 10k rpm fan rather than 3k lol. With the spacer, the extra noise was cured. This product is kind of expensive but it's worth the price when you are using high-speed, noisy fans.
