Premier Range Rapid Grab Glass Splashback Adhesive

The most important thing to look for with silicone (when fitting a coloured glass splashback) is that it is Low modulus, neutral cure. Without getting too technical you don't want to be using silicones that have that vinegar type smell, they will eat into the painted surface.When applying the silicone to the back, some people like to use large blobs, I prefer to zig zag it but either way, don't seal the edges until it has dried out for a good 24/48 hours, it needs air to dry, sealing in the edges will delay the drying time.This Rapid Grab is great, it holds the glass in place and it doesn't mark or eat into the back of the glass. It does come out of the tube a very thick consistency, a cloudy clear colour, too thick to double up as a sealant.I'm bewildered what people are doing wrong for this not to stick, it really is good stuff.

Very effective adhesive, did the job (make sure you have a "gun" as otherwise you won't be able to squeeze out the contents). Also used to seal the edges of the splashback. It is clear, and dries clear, so you only see it when the dried adhesive catches the light. It "grabs" the splashback and bonds to the wall instantly, but you can support it in place overnight as a safeguard.

Does the job of putting up a splash back, but as I only needed to put up one, I now have a wasted 3/4 tube. Should be made available in small volumes for “DIY” purposes, not just trade or big jobs

Used to fix two glass panels on. glass to glass and glass to aluminium.I was concerned it would hold in the first place outside, and would then stay stuck through ice, wind rain and snow.100% no problems. Impresive!

I was advised to use this product with the Premier Range splashback I purchased, also through Amazon.This was extremely simple to apply and was incredibly strong once on the wall. It did allow a little play to straighten and align your splashback, but once settled it bonds quickly and solidly. I am a novice at DIY, but happy to "have a go" at the simpler projects. Installing a splashback is a simple project, but made so much easier with the right adhesive.
