I picked up this trick from a friend who cooks Spanish food, but it's so much more versatile; I put it in all sorts of things. The gentle, smoky flavour is wonderful. It's SO much better than the hot smoked one; you can add heat from chilli or hot paprika to taste for fajhitas or chilli, but use it alone for scrambled eggs. I've passed on tins to friends who are all equally hooked, maybe I should ask them for a discount next time I buy a batch?I also use to make my own 'hickory smoked' marinade; Smoked paprika, tomato puree, brown sugar, splash of vinegar and low salt soy sauce; less than a quarter of the salt and a fraction of the price of the branded version.

And not saying only because I was born close to where this paprika was produced. Excellent quality.

I've had other brands of this which are much more expensive and taste exactly the same. Delivered nice and quickly for a good price and tastes great with loads of things. Sprinkle on a chicken before roasting, a pinch on scallops or even just in scrambled eggs, loads of uses and it really brings out the flavour.
