Really Good Stuff, and doesnt break the bank
I almost didn't buy them because of the loads of not so good reviews.But then I had to realise, way more of them have been sold without any problems....I'v had 4 of them now for nearly 6 months without any problem, no bad sectors, nothing at all.They have been working really well.I would buy them again.

Good drive for NAS or server
We use these drives in the servers and never had one fail, saying that we never use them for more that 1 year but still good we have never had a failure

WD RED highly recommend
WD red drives have been running on my NAS and backup system reliably fir several years. I feel comfortable with the quality and reliability of WD RED and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for long term reliability.

OK once you get a drive that works ...
first drive delivered dead on arrival (just one of those things) ... took a bit of too and fro with amazon to get a replacement shipped. They wanted me to go back to manufacturer I refused as this was dead when it arrived so its their problem as supplier, eventually they agreed and shipped a replacement. Second drive worked fine, does make me wonder about quality but these things just happen sometimes

I use these along with other sizes of the same brand and model in home servers which are on 24x7. I have had the RED branded ones running for up to 2 years constantly without issue. Given my previous longer term experience of WD 'NAS class' or above drives I expect them to continue for several years.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. I bought the retail boxed version to avoid risk of damage in transit, as reported by others who have bought the OEM version. The extra protection is well worth the minor increase in price.

Good value storage
Used for storing and backing up multiple (large!) video files from SSD cards and works perfectly for that.
