The actual bride
This was my first book by the author. The book just popped up on recommendation after reading another Indian book series based on arranged marriage. Initially I was hesitant to select this book as I just finished a similar troupe but the author just swayed me away.In the story of Ares and Raven, my heart went out for Raven for what she has been through her life by her mother and devious sister. And Ares, he is just a intelligent fool to not realise what's is right in front of his eyes. I loved the way the story unravelled and scripting. I story telling hooked me up till the end. Though the book is titled "The wrong bride", from the beginning the author was clear to display that Raven must have been the actual bride. Now after getting a glimpse of Luca and Val in the end of the book, I ready to explore other books of the author.

The book is amazing
The Wrong Bride explores themes of love, loyalty, and the complexities of familial expectations. The concept of duty versus desire is a recurring theme throughout the book, with Raven’s choices reflecting the often difficult decisions people have to make in life. The book also touches on forgiveness and personal growth, as both Raven and ARES must confront their pasts to move forward together.Catharina Maura’s writing is engaging and emotionally evocative. She has a way of drawing readers into the story, making them feel the characters’ emotions deeply. The pacing of the book is well-balanced, with enough twists and turns to keep readers hooked. Maura’s descriptive style brings the characters and their surroundings to life, making the story immersive and vivid.

3.75 ⭐️ for this roller coaster ride of book!
Where do I even start? I loved many parts of this book but similarly I was irritated/rankled by some of the things.Ares and Raven (I love their names) were one power couple. So many obstacles and through it all they worked for their relationship, compromised and stood united. From day one of their marriage of convenience they decided to communicate with each other, what may come. I loved that.I loved Ares family too. They were super supportive and loyal to Raven. Can’t wait to read their stories.I also loved that Raven was a super model with a business on side. Smart, se*y and sweet. But she was so emotionally vulnerable to her family and I hated how they manipulated her and she allowed it. But halfway through she started changing and I cheered for her.Likewise with Ares though he was honourable, assured and supported Raven each and every time after their marriage, I couldn’t forget that he loved, was engaged and was intimate with Raven’s sister before. There was so MUCH memories and things between them, that was witnessed by the heroine. I can’t say more without spoiling. Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME!I’m also not convinced that ‘he loved her all along’ line. That was too unbelievable with all the ‘Hannah Hannah’ chanting. But Ares’s one gesture brought smile to my face. Also in second half he was obsessed with Raven.Along with angst galore another thing guaranteed from this author is comeuppance. And I’m happy with how it turned out in the end.

Wonderful read
I liked this book very much. The role of all the characters in it is very inspiring. The companionship, love and understanding of the main characters was the main theme of reading for me. Ares' love for Revan was very intense. Revan's love and respect for his family is admirable. Any honor to Raven A Ares would be greatly appreciated. Revan has always supported and loved Ares. I have read this book five to six times. Last but not least Author has done amazing work.
