I wish I bought this sooner!
I recently purchased a house with Woodchip in every room (Well, except bathroom!)Removing Woodchip is painful, a steamer is in-effective, scoring with a paper scraper does very little and damages plaster. I did one wall in my living room & it took about 3 hours. I actually started to get a blister on my thumb. After watching a few YouTube videos on removing Woodchip easier I saw the Stanley Maxi Orbital Wallpaper Scorer and instantly purchased one.It takes seconds to run this thing all over the top layer of the Wallpaper. Warning, my Woodchip was also painted so lots of little pieces fly off at you. I then used a steamer on the paper and found after around 30 seconds large pieces of the top layer just peeled off. Incredible little gadget, so much quicker and easier.Only issus with it are:1) It does feel a little bit flimsy and cheap2) It's difficult to get in small gaps, tried to just use 2 wheels in a tight gap but it doesn't really work properly.Still giving 5 stars as it's made my life so much easier.

Good product albeit a little flimsy.
Works well on plain and textured wallpaper as long as it is not painted. If painted moisture will not penatrate under paper and will end up with you tearing tiny pieces of paper off the wall.As other reviews say put a little pressure on but let the tool move itself otherwise it will score the plaster behind and likely damage the tool.Saves scoring with a scrapper and risking damaging walls.Overall decent product.

Time saver!
I was skeptical it'd work but it really does help getting wallpaper off. Just roll it around to score the paper, slap on some warm water and it peels right off.The spikes are pretty sharp so be careful.Managed to peel a whole wall after using this in about an hour compared to scoring with a Stanley knife so does help speed things up!I'd recommend if you don't want to buy a wallpaper steamer. Bit more manual labour but same result

Effectiveness varies depending on wallcovering and soft pressure is better. Quite expensive.
Bought this to use alongside a Wallpaper Steamer, because knives damage the wall and this promised to do multiple things at the same time.If you have read my other review, you will know that I hate wallpaper and removing it from walls is an agonising and messy job without the right tools. I initially tried removing the wallpaper with hot soapy water and a sponge, but it just didn't help.I went onto Amazon searching for a solution and this is what I found. It perforates the wallpaper, which allows the steamer to wet the back of the wallpaper (making it easier and quicker to remove, with there being far less chance of damaging the plasterboard behind). The cutting wheels are made from carbon steel, which should last a very long time and keep its shape. The handle is comfortable and the design is smart because it can be used whether you are left or right handed and having three lots of carbon cutting wheels spaced out in a triangle means a lot of the wall is perforated very quickly enabling quick wallpaper removal. The trick is to press very lightly with this tool for the optimum results in terms of efficient and effective perforation and mimimising marks/holes left in the plaster after the wallpaper has been removed.Whilst it did help a bit, it still didn't make the job a lot easier. It could just be the type of wallpaper (as it's at least 40 years old) but I still have to hold the steamer over the area for a long time and then use a scraper.Considering what this tool does and offers and how it is made of lightweight plastic, the price is a little bit steep. I don't doubt that this will last a long time and I have bought more Stanley products than I can think of, but I do wish it was a lot cheaper. If the price were lower, it would score much higher for being economical with materials yet still having a good design.Overall, I think this is a good tool and I will keep using it but it is let down by a high price tag. For being made cheaply but having a premium price, it gets three stars.

Amazing for taking your hatred of woodchip out on it
I spent two days removing 30 year old wood chip using a steamer and I got 1 and a half walls off and the room is only 3m x 4m!Came across this handy widget and it is AMAZING!!! Carved up the remaining paper in a very satisfying way so you can take all your anger and hatred of woodchip out on it then the remaining 2.5 walls of paper all came off with the steamer in half a day. Brilliant little tool and worth every penny

Used for 1 wall and lost a wheel / broken already.
I used this wallpaper scorer for 1 wall in a house and then noticed that it's already lost a wheel and cap. Not good quality at all really.

Worth Every Penny
I had trouble removing old chip paper with vinal painted topping. This little beauty perforated the vinal paint with little effort which allowed the steamer to do it's job. No hesitation in recommending this tool.
