Great quality, value and entertainment
In my view Dunster products standout. The climbing frame fits well in the kids area of our garden, it isn’t as long as you might think (its the height that gives my kids the thrill), so doesn’t overally dominate space. The natural coloured wood vanished against the backdrop of plants/trees and again helps to avoid dominance in the garden. In terms of age appropriateness - I have an 11yr old who swings all over it and a 7yr old who is a little more cautious (the height), so they are equally challenged but in different ways..I would suggest you invest in some extras i.e trapeze swing (11yr old loves this) and rope ladder (7 yr old absolutely loves this!).. they enjoyed climbing without them, but the extras means they play on it all day! (Which makes us as parents the real winners)I would also suggest a soft padded ground under it - they will fall off initially.. I have used a recyclable rubber covering (tyres) which is great and offers some real bounce and cushion when the drop..As I mentioned earlier, putting it together is logical, but instructions are difficult and it is definetly a two person task and set aside a couple of hours (in my view)..This purchase was a fraction of the price of the previous one and I have to say my kids enjoy this just as much..Quality product from a stand out company providing activities for kids in the garden - keep it up..I would highly recommend from 7yr up (with a little supervision)..

Assembly
I bought this product after seeing one in my friend’s garden. It’s really sturdy and great quality. However I was disappointed in how difficult it was to put together! My clever and extremely capable husband planned put it up whilst I was out. He thought it would take him a couple of hours. I didn’t get involved in the putting up as I wasn’t there but I came home several hours later to hear it had taken him the whole day (he was doing it on his own so this probably didn’t help). I had assumed that all the holes would be pre drilled but he had to drill all the holes. He also put the monkey bars the wrong way up! He was able to rectify all but the end two (which would have involved taking the entire end pieces down and starting again). As I say I was not involved but I know that if it took my husband the whole day and he still got it wrong, it must have been quite a job. It obviously wasn’t clear to him which way up the monkey bars should have been but the bit I was most surprised about was the fact that the holes weren’t pre drilled. So I would recommend this product but I’d say make sure there are two of you!

Would recommend but tricky to assemble
Lovely product but as other reviews have mentioned very difficult to build. That aside, communication with seller was good (for delivery purposes) and the product is well made and looks great. We've added a swing seat and trapeze swing to ours and our 4 year old loves it. Probably a bit small for the monkey bars but he'll grow into it!

Instructions and assembly let it down
Finished product seems pretty good but I found this very difficult to assemble. The diagrams and instructions aren't clear and give plenty of opportunity for drilling and screwing in the wrong places. Addition of pre-drilled holes would make this a completely different product. In the Q&A someone has said that measurements for where to drill holes are provided but they defiantly aren't.Essential to assembly is a 17mm socket (a spanner can't be used), drill, long (10cm) 3mm drill bit, strong power screwdriver/drill attachment.

Simply the best!
The most amazing and popular sport equipment I could have ever bought for my children (and myself). The frame was easy to put together and it looked steady even without any digging in or anything like that. The kids absolutely love it and it’s big enough for two of them to play at the same time. The customer care is just brilliant. I’ve called them, asking for a quicker delivery which was arranged with no problem.I’m very impressed with the monkey bar and just wish they did more of the children outdoor stuff. :)

Sharp edges, flawed wood. Assembly requires a lot of tools. You must drill all 120 holes yourself!!
I am totally disappointed in these monkey bars. After reading all the positive reviews, we feel totally let down. In order to put this together you will need a spirit level, electric drill, a 3mm drill bit, socket wrench, tape measure, screwdriver, hammer, spade and possibly concrete depending on how secure you need the base. None of the screw holes are predrilled or even marked. There is no template. It is literally a case of measuring up using a tape measure and then drilling the holes yourself. There are 120 screws provided with this and you have to predrill every hole, yourself. On top of that, some of the wood was cracked and the Dunster House name plate which is screwed on, had been bent and the raised edges on either side are quite sharp; certainly sharp enough to cause potentially serious injury. I have contacted Amazon who have contacted Dunster House, and I am waiting for a reply. I originally requested a return via Amazons app but it required me to take the frame to a postoffice. I have a Zaffira, but even that won't fit the lengths of wood in and I doubt very much that the post office would accept it even if I did manage to get it there!I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a free return and collection as soon as possible, as the way this is described is, at best, misleading.I recommend looking elsewhere for monkey bars, based on my experience so far. I will update this review as things progress.Update: Dunster House have phoned this morning to arrange collection next Friday. There is no charge for collection. The return was managed through Amazon.I have increased the stars from 1 to 2 because of the customer service provided which has been excellent.
