Changed the game for me
I love this product! I started using it after using a very good protein/meal replacement product that’s sweetened with Stevia and is vegan. I’m not a vegan but I’m not into whey. However, the protein shake I was taking was expensive. So I read the ingredients in it and one of the proteins were pea protein. So I saw this and thought save money. I now use 20 grams of this in a smoothie, which provides about 16 grams of protein then I add an avocado, 20 grams of mixed nuts, 60 grams of frozen raspberries and a very ripe banana for sweetness and energy. Then I have 2 eggs. This way I get everything I need from breakfast, being a person that works out a lot. This is my second bag and my new routine is cost effective. Sometimes when I’ve not taken enough protein I’ll add 10 grams of this to something. Also one bag costs me £20 and is plenty for 2 months. This is really handy and affordable for me.

Mixes well
I like that this is just clean protein without the other stuff. I tried this in soup and also porridge but I did find it altered the texture too much for me. So as part of my routine I mix a bit with water and shot it, then wash down with water directly before I have breakfast and lunch. It's easy to mix and doesnt clump. There is a slight veggie essence to it when you take it with water but that would probably disappear when added to a smoothie (I'm not a smoothie fan). Good value for money and obviously a popular choice from the reviews.

Very Gross but Very Good Value
I got this protein powder to give other types (other than whey protein - which has almost made me vomit because of the nasty flavours) a chance, also, yeah, I chose this because of it's lack of additional ingredients (no nasty flavours), I guess it's quite a pure thing. I've had this protein powder for the past six odd months and after having chugged it down or eaten it in various forms I thought now would be an okay time to write a review.PROS:-The amount you get for the money is absolutely fantastic - 1 kilo for less than £15 with free shipping - bargain!-No artificial crap rammed into it - it's literally just plain pea protein, it doesn't even have any sweeteners, salt or anything.-Completely vegetarian/vegan, though I'm personally not one myself this is a good factor for a good proportion of those buying this powder.-Gluten free, again, not a problem for me but it is for others.-Lactose free, pretty obvious it would be, considering it's made of damn peas and not cow juice.-8 out of every 10 grams are protein, which is very decent.-Perfect for savoury dishes, the best dish (and pretty much the only dish I actually bother with) is a pizza crust made with this powder - best (non) cheat meal I've ever had.-You can substitute flour for this in most recipes - there is so much trial and error though, chocolate brownies work quite nicely.-Cooks nicely.-For those who use MyFitnessPal, MyFitnessPal scans this successfully and accurately, it has it on it's database. (MyFitnessPal is a calorie tracking app and website)CONS:-Tastes genuinely disgusting (imo) by itself, I first mixed a tablespoon of this with about a pint of water - completely unpalatable.-Doesn't mix so well sometimes, not a good option for very plain shakes a lot of the time, you need a fair few more ingredients to over-come this.-Has a very strong flavour, you need a hell of a lot of other flavours to mask what this tastes like. Some may like this flavour though, if you're VERY fond of slightly diluted pea soup I think you might like it?-Smells kinda rank, so if you're someone who likes to smell their foods before they taste it, you probably just shouldn't if you have this stuff in it.-The bag it came in doesn't reseal very well for me.-Kinda gritty, just a texture thing you'll have to get used to.-When mixed into chilli con carne, soups, savoury sloppy stuff, it does thicken the meal in question significantly, same with shakes/smoothies, but that is to be expected - just wasn't expecting this much.Overall, I'm knocking 1 star off because this stuff is so revolting on it's own, however if you find a few recipes that work for you and you can stomach you're sorted. I mix 2 tablespoons of this in with 1 cup of skimmed milk, 1 cup of light cranberry juice, 1 cup of frozen fruit/berries, 1 frozen banana and a dash of stevia for an easy to stomach protein shake. I found the pizza crust recipe on a website called ProteinPow.com, which also has a load of other nice tasting pea-protein recipes to try. So yeah, if you're looking for a reasonably priced, all natural protein powder then here you go.Thanks for reading. :)

Great protein powder
Great product…. I use to add to smoothies. I got the pea protein version as I was afraid the hemp may be very strong! (I haven’t tried it but know the smell can be overwhelming) I am delighted with this as I add one tablespoon to my smoothie and it doesn’t affect the taste or Texture of the blend.Great value for money and I will repurchase this once I run out. I hope this helps others thinking of adding this into their routine.

Reviews about the taste are real!
I thought the reviews about the taste were just whining. So the first I did when I got it yesterday was to try to make a protein shake. It was thicker than usual... But I decide to still go ahead. The first few sips were OK. It tastes almost like water... But you brain knows something else is going on. I added cinammon. It didn't make any difference.I tried taking another sip. Impsossible. It was too thick. And not easy to chug. Then I added 1/3 scoop of another protein I have. What a difference! So now I'm using 2/3 scoop of this protein and 1/3 of another just to make it drinkable.I know in the package it doesn't say you should drink it... But still that's what I'll do.I highly recommend this protein. It's the only one without harmful checmicals!

Tasty; mixes well. Great stuff.
I bought this to add a bit of variety to my protein intake - whey is my staple and I wanted something a bit different. The bag is larger than it looks in the photo, and it certainly seems like a decent amount for the money. The second thing I noticed is that the zip-lock on the bag could be better. It's not terrible, but I have to check the seal a few times before putting it away, and I certainly wouldn't trust it in the event of an accident (bag meets floor scenario). The product itself is excellent. It mixes very well with a bit of water to produce a very light, creamy, almost foamy liquid, similar to a pea soup (which, you might say, is exactly what it is!). I find the taste to be agreeable. It has an earthy taste of the kind you would expect from one of those hippy health drinks. Not that the taste matters all that much, but it helps if I don't have to wince as it goes down. I'll be coming back for more once I've finished this bag.Update: I've started to use this a bit in cooking, as the creamy texture it produces can really enhance certain foods. I find it useful to add a spoonful to a risotto at the end to really bring out a nice richness. You only need a bit.
