Beautiful! Like the instructions say, make sure the bulb is centered and give the lamp a good 40 minutes to heat up, the first time. After that, it will melt the wax much quicker. Don't ask me why, it's just what we experienced. I would buy another one in a different cold.

JUNK! Appears to have a spring in the base that holds the gel when cool. When you turn it on the spring comes up and partially holds the gel while the rest of the gel is trying to flow. Constantly shaking it trying to get the spring back in place. There is no product support. I suggest purchasing a different Mfg product! Amendment... The Seller has reached out and is making the situation right. Offered a refund or replacement. Cannot ask anymore than that. I am waiting the replacement. I will update upon receipt.’’’’ New lamp is set up and functioning as advertised. These guys really bent over backwards to fix a defective lamp.’’’’’’

A real bargain. Just pleasant to have it's graceful motion to gaze at or glance at. Also it feeds my nostalgia for the time lava lamps were popular. I had it working within 10 minutes of opening the box (though it takes a little while before the blobs are fully active).

UPDATE 03/2025: Updating my 2 star review because customer service has quickly reached out to me to resolve my broken bulb socket. They offered a full refund or free replacement. I did go with a full refund just because I had already purchased another lava lamp for my son beforehand. 4 stars for their support!Light lasted 2 months and it stopped turning on, noticed the inside socket under the glass bottle came unhooked and was broken in the lights base.

The media could not be loaded. I got this lava lamp to replace one I bought and returned to a local retail store. The one I had was also blue liquid but it was murky-ish. Not this beauty tho! The blue liquid is so clear and the color of the yellow wax really pops! First time I turned it on, it only took about an hour and a half to get going. It’s so relaxing to watch! I plan to use it on my work desk for no more than about 6 or 7 hours a day. It’s really beautiful!

This lamp broke last night and the lava spilled all over my floors. It is very dangerous , it didn’t tip over , no one bumped into it. I walked into my son’s room to check on him bc I heard a bam and it’s the lava lamp that had exploded and the glass and lava were alll over . Thank God he was sleeping but he could have stepped on the hot wax or glass. Not to mention it damaged my floors. Do not buy

May daugther go this for her birthday. its cute and give off a nice amount of light. It does get very hot and can tip easily so we have to be careful
