Q: How do I separate it? I did not receive anything other than the pad.

Also, check your package closely. I didn't think I received one, either, and it was in the bottom of the envelope in which I received the paper, not wrapped with it.

Q: What type of sizing is on this paper? Gelatin or non-gelatin?

It doesn’t say but in another product entry for this paper on Amazon, it says in the description: « The surface of this paper has undergone a proprietary gelatin sizing process that delivers extraordinarily brilliant colors ». I had assumed it was indeed gelatin seeing as it is Chinese paper and there may be less effort there yet to produce vegan paper.
