Will buy again
My graphics card come with several DP ports and only one HDMI. So I got this in order to use my second monitor. From time to time I connect it to my TV so I can watch things from my PC on there, eventually I'm GOING to buy another one. It is super cheap and I'm not sure what getting a more expensive one would do for you because this does the job flawlessly. Just plug it in and BAM.Visually it looks exactly like the image provided;size, font, color, everything. I've had this over two months and I have no complaints.

Was not able to support 2560 x 1440
Purchased two new Samsung Monitors that support up to 2560 x 1440. The monitors already have the HDMI Cable hooked up via the Stand so I connected the first monitor to the HDMI connection on my Video Card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970). Since I only had another DP Connection I figured I would connect the HDMI Cable that came with it via the Adapter to the DP Connection on my Video Card. Unfortunately it only was able to display 1920 x 1080. After troubleshooting for a couple minutes, I opened the Stand and connected a DP Cable and there it was, both Monitors have now the 2560 x 1440 resolution.

Lasted less than 60 days
Purchased on October 27th. I needed an adapter since my GPU only had 1 HDMI output but 3 DP outs. When it showed up, I was happy. Picture was great, no delay, no complaints.Unfortunately, the adapter failed on December 22nd. The PC is recognizing a monitor and is pushing a display, but the picture goes back and forth from solid black to purple lines/fuzz. It was tested on multiple cables, multiple monitors, and multiple PCs. The only item that had consistent issues was the adapter itself.Maybe I expected too much for the price, but I ordered a similar one from another company back in April that is still working perfect. I'll spend the extra 1$ next time to get a better product.

Works and then doesn't
These work for a while and then they don't. Possibly bad connections. Either gives me a "Device not supported" message or "No Signal". I think I'll just go with some cables instead of adapters. The clips that hold them into the DP are really hard to detach and it feels like I am going to break something trying to pull them out of my graphics card also. They stick way out of the back of the computer and its a disaster waiting to happen if something hits the back of the case.**update** Most likely they work as they should. After ordering DP to HDMI cables, the cables do the same thing these adapters did. After reading up it seems that it is a DP issue and it happens with a lot of graphics card. If I move the mouse and wait a while both the adapters and the cables both would eventually wake the monitors up.

In a word, "Great!"
I recently built a new computer, and one thing I wanted was a small second monitor to use as a sort of "scratch area." It turns out I had just the thing, just lying in the garage so I snagged it. However, I guess I bought this quite a while ago because it had only a few boxes stacked over it. But there it was. However, I just didn't have the right spare cables and connectors at hand.So I built the PC and I also wanted a smaller screen to use for ... "whatever." But once it got going and I'd "tweaked" it to my "satisfaction" I wanted to hook up that small spare monitor. But, as I said, I just didn't have the right cables, and this old Compaq monitor only had one input, an old standard "VGA" HDMI port. I have some cables that fit into it properly, but those cables simply terminate to another VGA end and I had no place to plug it in since my video card (a 1070) didn't have that port. What it HAS are a bunch (maybe four) of DisplayPorts (DP) and the one standard HDMI was used up because that video card only HAD one standard HDMI port and that larger display took it up. So I needed to free up some of the DP ports but that meant I had to turn those DP ports to HDMI. (I know, it gets kinda confusing.)Now when I saw these they seemed like they were just what I needed. And I ordered them, they came in a couple days, and I had that old display working perfectly with no hassles at all!So, while I haven't tested them to see if they can work with a 4K monitor I can't say for certain that they WILL work, but I just couldn't get to it, yet. (And later I do plan to see if 4K works with them since I already HAVE a 4K 40" monitor that I'm not using right now. But frankly, I really don't think 4K is really necessary, I've yet to see a side-by-side comparison to know for certain though. And actually, I kinda think 4K will eventually be THE standard but as of now I think it still needs time because 4K takes up a lot of bandwidth, and it's not too "friendly" about working as a 4K monitor, yet. I'll worry about that once it all settles down.)Whew, sorry, guess I sometimes ramble. In any event, these things worked with NO problems what-so-ever. And a "nice touch" is they're ACTIVE; that's important again because of bandwidth issues. So there's not much more to say. They filled my needs right now to integrate the old tech in that small monitor with the newer tech (DP) that looks like will take over where HDMI gave up. The price was right, they seem to be VERY well made, and it's just nice to have them should I run into a compatibility problem in the future. So it easily gets a Five Star rating from me because they do exactly what they're supposed to do. Definitely recommended.

Inexpensive, small and works perfectly.
I have an HP EliteBook 820 G3 that doesn’t come with HDMI port but DisplayPort only. Using the cable DisplayPort to HDMI, I don’t get the sound to the TV. I bought this one from Amazon using an HDMI cable and it displays beautifully with sound included. The dongle is well built with the connectors fit tightly, small and compact. I’m very happy with this little device, it serves the purpose well and I can use any HDMI cable to connect my laptop to TV or monitor while traveling. I did try USB-C and HDMI adapter but it didn’t work, only this one does. The best thing is it works on my macOS Catalina 15.5 also.

Didn't work for me.
I tried this with an EVGA GeForce 1050 ti, HDMI output to this adapter and into the DisplayPort input of a Dell P1914Sc monitor. It behaved like nothing was plugged in. I know the video card output is fine by testing straight HDMI to another monitor. Once I was able to also get straight DisplayPort from the video card to the Dell monitor, that worked fine as well, leaving only this adapter as the non working variable. This could have been the result of a compatibility issue, but it was my experience in my particular scenario.I also found the release button difficult to operate. It was very stiff and shallow and took some doing to unplug. I felt like I was going to break something.

Good but not great
Not the greatest quality, and maybe not the first option if you are going to plug/unplug the device too often. But it does the job, and it's not that expensive.

After one month stop working.
I bought this from Amazon, display port to HDMI adapter, but after one month isn't work, my monitor showing "no signals" This product come with 24 months warranty. For claim warranty I called to Amazon, Amazon custom care provided me mail ID and I mail to tigerpug but they don't response, after one week I called again to Amazon, again they provide me mail ID and customer care number of China, and said sir call to China. I think cable creation and Amazon making fool to me. No one interested to solve my problem.
