OspreyNebula Commuter Backpack, Atlas Blue/Heather

My savior for staying outside of my dorm the entire day, it helps me carry many things that I need to use throughout the entire week without worry about ever need to go back to dorm and grab the stuff. Light weight and the design helps distribute the weight so it’s not going to be heavy on you. The build quality is nice too, sturdy, tightly fit with each other, zipper feels very premium, no more worries about zipper will fall off from the backpack.

I have been a loyal Osprey brand for some time now and this is another great addition to our Osprey bags. The size is just enough for my needs. With lots of storage space for a 3-4 day trip with electronics/computers. Materials used are of good quality and zippers are YKK heavy duty so no worries that it will fail. Paddings are on the right places and ventilation holes on the strap and back padding ensures good air circulation. Love the golden yellow color, not to bright, just right to be visible. Price is just right for the quality and brand reputation. Kudos also to the packaging, delivery, courier and Amazon support for making sure my order came in one piece and no damage and was able to receive before leaving out of town. Honestly, I needed a backpack for my oldest child that could stand up to high schoolers. This backpack did it so well, she is still using it at college. I bought another one for the younger child who is now in high school and it is standing up well to the rigors of a teenage boy.Its organized well, with a well designed laptop slot for his chrome book, can carry all his textbooks and papers, and has a separate, easily gotten to zippered pocket big enough for his daily planner to keep him on schedule with his myriad activities and assignments. On the outside it has a good water bottle pocket and the waist belt, while packed away most of the time, is nice if you're running through an airport and don't want it to flop around. It fits under an airplane seat, and my oldest kids bag looks almost brand new after ~4 years of abuse. We'll see if the new one does the same, but so far its looking just as strong.They aren't cheap, but you do get a great bag for the price. My wife has an older Osprey backpack built on the same design, but with a different name vs Nebula, and it has stood up to almost daily use for 8+ years. Enjoy.

I looked online and in-person for the biggest possible "personal item" and every day backpack for walking around the city with heavy stuff on my back. I have shoulder problems and city packs are usually great for pockets and items but they aren't so great for your body and back. This pack has it all.I read some reviews about this pack that honestly didn't make any sense, so that's why I'm leaving a review. By the way, I bought two bags so I can say they both are exactly the same.1. The back opens into a clam and it's super easy to deal with.2. The shoulder straps are so comfortable and the additional TWO support chest and waist straps really take the brunt of pain off of you. That alone is worth the price of this bag.3. This bag can be small or huge. That was the main reason I picked this bag. You can stuff it under a seat IF, NOT IF, it's not stuffed to the guild. No one would think it was anything other than a normal backpack. If you want to use it as a personal item, just don't stuff it. That said, when you're ready or you can stuff it for a carry on item (not a personal), this thing can REALLY fill out. It's more than an overnight pack. You can get days worth of stuff in there. I got to 20kg and it still had room and space.4. It's really logical for being on the go in the city. Don't get me wrong, it could do great for a hiking pack as well, but this is the city persons hiking bag all the way. Little pockets, water bottles on the side, jack/front pouch for whatever. It just works and it feels like an accessory to yourself.Hands down, best backpack I've every owned.

I have a ton of backpacks for all different purposes but they aren't ones I can call an everyday bag because some are large, some are for photography gear etc. so I came across this Nebula, and I'm glad I did. I have carried it with me every day since I bought it, I flew with it on a work trip, and it has been great.The biggest factor of course is comfort, which this bag isn't like carrying a cushy cloud or anything, however it isn't cumbersome and it has padding in the right places to make it easy to forget you're wearing it. I've stuffed it with clothes, 2 laptops, a bunch of electronics, etc. and while it does get tight, it still manages to zip up easily and store it all.The one thing I don't really understand is why there's one "hole" covered by a flap that seemingly doesn't really serve a purpose? If anything I'd see that as a potential entry point for accidental spills or rain or whatever and it leads right into the compartment where laptops go. I haven't had an issue with it but it's strange that it's there.Apart from that I don't really have anything negative to say. The zippers are great, and as much as I've stuffed it, all the seams are in good shape and it's just an overall durable bag. Also I wouldn't necessarily recommend carrying 2 laptops in it, although you CAN it gets quite heavy and I believe a bigger bag would be better suited for that.

Backpack is great and works well. The design of where the zippers are and clips seem awkward. It can be hard to get things out of the packets without unclipping. This seems poorly designed. Otherwise it is light and sturdy.

Good quality, nicely organized compartments. A lot of storage and flexible storage adjustment.

Bought this to carry a 17” MacBook Air and 15” Dell when traveling. I’m able to use this perfectly as a carry on and the sizing is ideal. As with my other Osprey bag, comfortable to carry! It would’ve been nice if it had a pass through pocket for luggage handle, but closing the chest and waste strap around the luggage handle suffices.
