Very Informative
This is a really good history text book aimed at key stage 3 children. It covers topics which they are likely to encounter at school during their history lessons and is useful for either pre-teaching of the topic or for further information/reading. There are four books in the series and this particular book is book 2, covering 1509-1760. The book is split into historical eras and gives a clear and informative overview of events with illustrations to support the text. There is a chance for children to check their understanding by answering the questions on each page. Each section ends with a knowledge organiser with a time line, key vocabulary and key people. This is a very well set out, informative text.

Interesting
While the cover doesn’t do much to attract you to read, it’s a very interesting read all the same.I really like that, this is a detailed book into a certain period of history are split into 10 units which makes it very easy to digest.I really like the way it’s written so easy to follow has some great graphics and photographs and there’s lots of styles of text to help you digest the information absolutely brilliantVery happy with the price point of £11 is a book I found myself reading intensely brilliant, highly recommend

Covers everything
My daughter studying in Year 8 is delighted with this book. It covers exactly the syllabus she is learning and she likes the way the information is presented. Rather than being an alternative way to learn it helps provide reinforcement to the syllabus. It's useful as a pre-understanding before a subject is taught but also to help with revision. There's a lot of content!

Good introduction and/or revision aid
This book covers all the topics in the Early Modern British and World History syllabus. These are presented clearly, with good illustrations, copious photographs and effective info graphics. The text is concise, and summarises the key points well in a clear and understandable manner. As a pre topic introduction and as a revision aid, this should be very useful.
