Worthwhile purchase, which actually works.
I bought this product, as i found an old JVC VHS recorder in my parents garage, during a clear out.Out of morbid curiosity, i wanted to see if this unit still worked, even though it was caked in a couple of decades of garage crud and mouse dropping were found inside. As part of the clean up i wanted to clean the heads. But thinking that the VHS unit was beyond dead i didn't want to spend too much on a head cleaner. Nor did i want the faff of using the liquid cleaner process. So this was bought with little of hope of it actually working. After getting a vacuum and air duster in the unit to clean it out, i tried a VHS tape to see if anything would appear on the screen. All I could hear was sound, that was muffled and warbled, there was no image on the screen.I popped in the cleaning tape, let it run to the end, swapped it out with the normal tape and there was an improvement. The sound was clear, but still no images. All in all, i used the head cleaner 8 times to get to a point where sound was clear and the image was stable, without any distortions. So a great value product that does work well. It just depends on how dirty the heads are, but you will see improvement.

Made a difference after 1 use!
My VCR / DVD machine had a problem with a grinding noise from the video player and either an inability to play videos or blurry or jumping videos. As it was a VCR / DVD player and recorder I didn't want to get rid of it. Consequently I bought this Head Cleaner without expecting much. It was hard to play as my VCR didn't like it at first. Anyway after just 1 use the grinding noise stopped and I was able to play a video again without problems! I tried 2 more old videos (which I had almost given up on) and they worked too. I don't normally write reviews, but I was really impressed with this VHS Video Head Cleaner. Excellent. Thank you.

Broke Immediately
Absolute waste of money. Put the cassette in and could hear concerning sounds straight away. Within seconds, the machine spit the cassette out and the paper tape was caught up. I'm just relieved it didn't completely wrap around the heads/spools and I could get it out. Please do not waste your money, it could end up being a very expensive mistake.

"Effective VHS Head Cleaner for Clear Playback!"
"The Reshow VHS Video Head Cleaner is a game-changer! It’s super easy to use and helps keep my VHS player in top condition. After using it, the video playback is noticeably clearer, and there’s less distortion. It also prevents the tape from getting stuck, which was a common issue before. I like that it’s a quick and affordable solution to maintaining old equipment. Perfect for anyone with a VHS collection or vintage video player. Highly recommend—essential for preserving your tapes and player!"

Will not rewind Update * It does - manually
As with 50% or more of the other reviews. But the one go that I had it did clean the machine !!If you look under the cassette you will find a small hole in the middle towards the back, If you press that in, with the top of a pencil, and keep it in it releases the ratchet and you can then, manually, rewind the cassette !!!!!If you don't believe me, undo the screws and take the bottom off the cassette and you will see what I mean.

Best cleaning tapes out there!
These are among the few of the excellent types of cleaning tapes still available in my opinion! Due to the material used to actually clean the video heads as well you can, AS AN OPTION, add 1-2 drops of isopropyl alcohol (SMALL DROPS!) to the strip underneath the flap at the back of the tape if your VCR has very dirty heads (otherwise NOT needed!) - These tapes have brought back to life some pro studio VCR equipment i had in storage and have only recently begun needing to use again so if you need those video heads cleaned? Get these cleaning tapes! As i say if your video heads are only lightly dirty (so the picture is a little distorted and tracking adjustments dont fix it) pop this tape in for 5-7seconds and then try again. If the video heads are critically dirty (very bad picture, tracking adjustments dont help or make it worse and your 100% sure the tape itself is in good condition) then pop some SMALL DROPS of isopropyl alcohol across the white strip underneath the back of the tape flap and let the tape run for 9-12seconds, eject, wait about a minute and then try again - Have tried both ways (with and without some drops of isopropyl) and each time i have had success in getting a crisp clear picture afterwards. If you try this yourself and still get bad results it is possible the tape itself has degraded/oxidised too much or the video heads are beyond saving so keep this in mind as no matter what, the video heads of a VCR will not last forever and go through their own states of degradation over time and will wear down. If you do use isopropyl alcohol at any point then consider that cleaning tape as 'one use only' and that once its at the end, dispose of it versus winding it back and using again (as these types of tape are typically able to be used more than once when reaching the end for light cleaning which is why there are all those checkboxes you can tick off)

Brought an old VHS player back to life
I was on the verge of scrapping my old VHS player due to damage caused by playing tapes damaged by a damp atmosphere. However, I figured as I still had some tapes I might want to view again it was worth a shot to try this cleaning tape. It took a few runs of the tape and the playback quality is still not perfect but at least it's now watchable. For a normal level of dirt on the heads I'm sure this would do the job.
