I absolutely loved this book. I don’t read much, but I found myself blasting through this one. Love Captain Sandy and her leadership skills and power to rise as a woman. Loved reading through her stories that quickly became lessons below the belt that helped her grow. Gave me many insights for life and work. Love the show, too. Highly recommend reading. Well done, Captain!

This is my first and only review I’ll probably ever make because it’s that important. I cannot recommend this book enough. I’m not a reader really, and I finished this in a day because I couldn’t put it down. It is well written, and packed with leadership insights and how to motivate others or maybe only yourself. I have brought it to work with me and I will be highlighting and savoring every sentence because it’s liquid gold.Look, you’re here wondering if you should buy a book because you’re probably bing watching below deck. You may be thinking, nah it’s not that serious I’ll just google what I’m curious about. WRONG. Buy this book, motivate yourself, maybe change your outlook on life. And along the way learn a little about Sandy.

I enjoyed watching Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediteranean, so when I learned she had written a book, I immediately ordered it. The book is well written and I felt like I was having a conversation with her.Her life story is both horrible and empowering. How she overcame her addiction problems and became one of the best super yacht captains in the industry is empowering for everyone.Her management style should be made mandatory reading for all supervisors everywhere.

I ordered this last July as I could not wait for the book after watching her on Below Deck. As a sailor I watch the show to learn about boating and the locations they visit.As a former high tech exec with three advanced degrees in HR and org behaviour I found it interesting that the audience is leaders and business. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 as I want her boating stories! She is such an incredible leader and studette on the water and I am sure there are many more stories like the opening scene. I want more! Another adventures on the high sea with Sandy book.Seriously though, she has very solid lessons and I'd have her speak at any business event.But I want to hear her speak at our yacht club too! The good stuff.

This is an amazing read and inspiration to all who read it. The perseverance and determination that Captain Sandy had is inspiring. No matter what your walk of life is you can overcome and succeed. Even if it's a project you started years ago. You can finish it. Thank you Captain Sandy for sharing your story with us.

Enjoyed reading this book on how Sandy overcome her difficulties and ended becoming a captain. She was willing to start at the bottom. Her spiritual perspective helps guide her life. I admire her willingness to help people.

Good reference book

Captain Sandy should be commended for being so open about the struggles she endured and how she turned her life around. This is a great read for anyone looking to sharpen leadership skills
