Worked exatly like it should
Delivery was prompt, packaging was good and build quality very good. I used this to clone a UV-5R and it worked perfectly. Easy to do.

Worst product ever do not buy
Despite the glowing write up, this product did not work. Only after I ordered it did I see other notifications and warnings on other sites that described the problems with the product. I returned it within three days of receiving it and that was only because I had to wait until a Monday to take it to the UPS store.

Works Great
Bought one of these cables to clone my ZTEL HT talkies, which have a Kenwood plug like the Baofeng HT's. It worked great.

Fiddled with it and may have a workaround
It wouldn't clone. I assume I had the same problem as others with firmware. Ran through the instructions online. Turn on slave device, press and hold MONI on Master while turning on master. Copying will show on screen, then master led should start flashing red while clone starts flashing green. However, it never got past showing Copying on the master screen. The slave (newer Baofeng) wouldn't respond.On a whim I pressed MONI on the SLAVE device before turning on the master. This turned on the LED light at the top. Leave it on. Then I pressed and held MONI on the Master while powering on. It worked and started communicating right away. It cloned all my stations over. Note you still have to setup the menu options they way you want.Also, in case it matters, I did a full reset on the slave device first.I'm afraid to try it again incase it's not repeatable. Give it a try and hopefully it works for you.

Good product
Clone cable performed exactly as desired. I used to clone a pair of BaoFeng UV-5R's.Appears to be a quality product at a reasonable price.

Does not work - do not buy
Cable does not clone any of the listed types of radios. Missed my “return window” due to family emergency. Would like some response from seller for refund.

Check your uv5r firmware first
Newer versions of baofeng uv-5r firmware will not work. This did not work for me version: HN5RV01. Check your firmware on Chirp, because the version displayed on your radio could be wrong. Also, check the amazon reviews by date. More recent reviews (newer firmware) state the cable did not work for them either. I can not comment if it works on other radios.
