Husband loved it!

Worked better for me in windy conditions. Throw it like a football but spin your whole hand (especially if adult or full grown teenager) rather than just your pointer &/or middle finger. You want to play with this on the beach or grass. If in the street you’ll beat it up. If throwing right handed you may have to compensate to the left a little & if lefty vice versa. I still like the old school “throw tron” better but this toy is decent. You can get decent range with little strength but it takes a little bit to get the hang of it.

I got this for my nephew for his birthday. It definitely goes super far as advertised, but when my son and nephew were trying to play catch, it was killing their hands because the green blades at the end are hard plastic. So you will probably want to wear gloves if you play catch. My sister-in-law was impressed how far she could throw it.

Quality and balance could be better. The fins tear at the base. The balance makes the dart wobble. The aerodynamics slow it down and make it fly inaccurately. It's ok if nothing else is around and god help it if a dog gets hold of it. The dog whistle is a come and get it call

I purchased two of these as Christmas gifts for my grandsons. They have had so much fun with them and I would highly recommend these toys.

First the good-- the packaging is nice although equally prominent in both English and French making some confusion.The bad-- basically, maybe someone can make this fly far but it is completely unintuitive and inconsistent. Why should instructions be necessary to throw a ball (if you can even call it that)? And g-d forbid one player is right-handed and the other left-handed. In that case each throw must be re-calibrated to throw the tail correctly.Even worse--it HURTS. It has hard rigid plastic both in the nose and tail so it's not made to have a catch with---only to throw?? And we couldn't even get a proper spiral on any throws. To be fair, we didn't continue trying but that's because we disliked it so much. Why was this even produced? Surely the company has seen Nerf and other far-flying and safe footballs which are legions better. As my son said after the first throw--"This thing is terrible". Returning as "item defective" as I want a full refund.

The media could not be loaded. The Sonic Fin is amazing when it is set up and thrown correctly. The reason it works so well is that it is not a regular projectile but more like a flying machine with gyroscopic lift. Read the instructions. The adjustable fins must be set correctly for left or right handed throwers and adjusted depending on how hard you can throw. The more we practiced the better we got - so much fun to have the fine tuning adjustability. When it is thrown at the right angle it flys magically level to the ground like no other ball. Everyone who set it correctly loved their throws. If you just get it out of the box and throw it you might be disappointed. We had two young guys who have played college baseball throw it over 100 yards!

Heard about the sonic Fin football from one of my friends. So I ordered it and showed up the next day. First off this isn’t a football so took me a little bit to get the hang of throwing it. My son on the other hand who is a baseball player and never threw a football before was throwing this down the street in about 5 mins. We had a great time throwing this super far. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and this is now part of the camping stuff to play with the whole family. My dog also liked it; think he like the whistle sound that comes out of it.
