I have had one of these previously, but it stopped working. It did last about six or seven years though. I love this because it is subtle. It is classy and it is wickedly easy to install. I actually put it on my own timer and I set it up at the end of November and take it down in January and I don’t have to think twice about it. I would say that’s probably one of the best features.Although I’m thinking it would look very cool in my backyard in the summertime when we’re sitting around the fire pit. Could shoot it off into the woods and it would look very cool.

Functionality

All three RGB colors nice and bright. Have two pointing on our white house and snow, dark country environment = ideal. They are mounted on a shed disjoint from the house so all I need do is turn them on and off --- for years of use. In cold weather (25F) the green laser takes some warm-up before it lights up... couple of minutes --- so far OK. "Wakes Up" with slowly moving pattern when I plug them in, which is my favorite pattern anyway. I don't use the remote controllers --- too much of a bother and too many selections. Thankfully, it functions fine without the controller, as described above. Runs OK 24/7, although they recommend resting it periodically --- which makes no sense to me. Uses very little power. Visible at night, but not in the daytime --- fine.

this laser puts out a lot of light. It is more expensive than others (that I have purchased and am using), but it puts out a lot more points of light, and it is much brighter.This laser is bright enough that we can use it to light up one of our evergreen trees in the front yard. It makes it look like hundreds or thousands of red, green, and blue fireflies have taken up residence in the tree. None of the other lasers we have purchased have enough brightness or the number of "lights" (yes, I know it is splitting a single laser for each color).I will likely get another next year. Recommended.

I bought two of these and have had them out and running 24/7 for a full year now. They've been in sun, rain, snow, 100-degrees and -30 degrees and just WORK, faithfully. Minor points are that the remote is adequate enough (I mean, it does work, but feels like it cost 0.25 - which is probably did, and that's fine) and that probably because of the remote, the timer function doesn't work reliably. That's why they've been on 24/7 and that's also just fine; a testament to their overall durability! A bigger caveat is that the red dots are few and far between, and the blue dots are even rarer! This means that the light show is 99.9% green dots, with an occasional red or blue here and there.That said, these are a-m-a-z-i-n-g and bring constant joy to our night garden. Guests and neighbors alike have comments on how beautiful and dazzling they are... that they look like thousands of fireflies in the trees. So unless you have your heart set on lots or red and blue, definitely buy them because they create a gorgeous nighttime light show, and they have worked non-stop for over a year!I don't know if the lasers will age or "wear out" but if/when they do, I'll be buying another set because they make us happy to look at every single night.

We wanted to project the lights on the trees in the back yard, 150-200ft away. It works well but is not bright enough to see from inside unless you turn the inside lights off. If you project the lights outside, say from 50 feet away, onto the house, it's amazing. Also works well inside the house. No matter where you do it, they aren't as bright and easy to see as regular lights but is very ease to set up and move and do provide a new look.

Update May 28, 2025I stare every night out my window of this vast show of lights. After 5 months it still works beautifully.2024- I have bought so many of these lights over the years and never have they worked this well. I cant even bring myself to put it away. Definitely worth the price.

Two years ago, I bought two of these lights, and within a month of one and three months of the other both lights failed. When I reached out to Ben had them replaced, and then shortly there after they failed again. After providing various pieces of information per his request it would determine the inline power adapter had possibly failed and he sent me replacements. That did the trick after not receiving a prompt reply to my email. My wife encouraged me to buy two more as she really liked the firefly effect for our front and backyard. After trying again to contact them he responded and even tried to prove that he had received my earlier email. At this point in time all he was willing to do was provide me a link for a 50% discount on the in-line power adapters. He also provided information that if they had not been used for several months that that to would be a potential cause of the power adapter failure. I explained to him several times that my lights were on every single night of the year for five hours. I have not been assured that the replacement in-line adapters would be the same as the new ones provided in the kits I received two years later , they are substantially larger. I also did not receive any assurance that even the new power adapters with nightly use as I use them will ask more than two years so as a result, within two years, I’ve spent over $500 for four lights, so time will tell and we’ll see if Ben is any more supportive of his product. The star rating is not reflective of the enjoyment we receive from this product. It is for the lack of the quality of the product being able to last more than 20 to 24 months if it happens again we’ll look for our options at that point.
