Easy to install, works perfectly, no unwanted noise. Makes sure to get a powerhead to guarantee it flows again after a power outage. The vacuum can not be connected to a protein skimmer, the skimmer won't operate correctly.

I already have a CPR CS-90. It came broken , but, I'm sure I could have had it replaced but I was in need of it that day so I repaired it myself. It works great.I need to get 4 more overflows, so, I just purchased one of these Chinese replicas to see it.I am really surprised it is almost an exact copy. The quality is the same. If you want to save yourself some money go this route. I am buying 3 more as soon as they are back in stock. Any one who says this is of poor quality probably works for CPR.

I initially had a PVC diy solution for overflow that was just not pretty or reliable, so I had been looking at this type of overflow for a while. They're usually a bit more expensive than from this seller, so I went with this one. I'm not sure if this seller gets ones that didn't pass QC or what, but the one I got didn't hold water initially. That is, it held water, but not a siphon, because the lower chamber's clear divider wasn't glued down on over half the bottom. It was a simple enough fix to get some acryllic weld-on (the thicker kind) and fill the gap, though.Once fixed, the thing works great. I turn off my pump every two days during feeding, and almost never lose the siphon when I do. I'm not sure what exactly triggers it, but maybe every couple weeks I have to pull a tiny bit of air out of the siphon. I put an air check valve on the end of the tubing and just suck the air out, and it works fine to keep the siphon primed.The only caveat other than build quality is probably capacity. I got this because it had a higher flow rate than my pump, so there's no chance of overflow. The only problem with that is that the flow is low enough that a lot of waste gets trapped in the lower chamber of the siphon, because the water pressure doesn't force it up over the lip into the drain compartment. It's not a big deal, though, as it's easy to get the stuff cleaned out by agitating it.

Works great, the slots on the front of the overflow box that's inside the tank, Are an added bonus in comparison to the CPR overflow I've been using for years . The design of the inside overflow is great. If you adjust the height correctly. If for some reason the slots ever got blocked the Overflow can still receive water from going over the top of the overflow box, avoiding a tank overflow. If you haven't gotten it yet I recommend it. Half the price of the competitors and works as good if not better. Very well designed. I normally don't leave reviews like this. Have this for a few weeks. Works fine initially. But, as time goes on, I can see the air increases in the chamber day by day till it loose siphon. This morning, my tank almost flood due to this. I don't use a vacuum pump thinking I can get away with it. Turns out, a vacuum pump is must have for this kind of HOB overflow box.

High quality build, drilled an emergency overflow above the baffle for a second drain line. Tuned the main drain and it runs silently and reliably. Ran airline tube from circulation pump to siphon tube up top for flawless operation and safe restart if siphon ever breaks. Its been a month with no concerns.

Works great on my 55 gallon. I have it paired with a aqua lifter and I have never had a leak of overflow (even when the power goes out or I shut the power off to test the system). It is more or less the same as the CPR overflow box just cheaper. I would 100% buy this again and would recommend this overflow box to anyone that doesn't have a drilled tank.

Works well but you have to keep and eye on it every day. I didn’t want to drill my 75g when I recently retrofitted a 20g long to make a sump with refugium. I tried a pump and check valve to keep flow going and neither worked. I discovered best way to prevent air from entering is connect one end of air line to fitting and submerge other end under water in tank. Now when it pulls a siphon it pulls water not air. It hasn’t had an air bubble in over a week since I did this. Only real concern is it’s a little loud and foam gets clogged and causes reduced flow. I plan to raise the drain intake to keep level higher which will hopefully reduce noise and more consistent flow. Overall good skimmer and I wanted to share my experience eliminating the air bubble and siphon break issue so hopefully others don’t experience.
