Guardian Pool & Tile Cleaner, Gallon Bottle 1/Case -

I want to give this product a superb review. Our pool tile had about 5 years worth of very unsightly calcium buildup at the water line. We live in Southern California and the water is heavy with calcium content which, when combined with some strong summer heat can cause a rapid buildup of a line of calcium deposit on pool tiles. Getting rid of a heavy buildup traditionally involves applying muriatic acid (nasty stuff) and scrubbing with pumice stone. It's one of those "never again" tasks.In contrast this product made the whole thing much safer and easier. It works exactly as advertised. Spray it on and then rinse it away (or scrub it away with one of those kitchen scrubbing sponges or equivalent). I had enough buildup that it took 3 applications in places - but that got rid of all of it. Just one application made a huge improvement.If it hadn't been for this product I'm not sure I wouldn't have just put up with the unsightly lime forever. As it is I can now just go into the pool periodically with a spray bottle loaded with this product and apply a maintenance dose as needed. It takes all the worst work out of the calcium removal task, though my heavy calcium buildup did inevitably take some effort to remove. Maintenance should be a cinch.

I’m in AZ with very hard calcium laced water. I have a pool with 14 year old tile that has never been cleaned/descaled and I hate that white line! I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by this product. It does work. Is my tile 100% perfect and clean? No. But this product did remove calcium build up as described. It will need multiple applications to get it as clean as I want but that is okay. This is the first product that I have tried that actually works. I think that I will use it in conjunction with my other method - a 75% acid to water ratio in a spray bottle, a green scotch scrub pad, and a power washer.

This product DOES remove hard calcium/mineral deposits. If you follow the product’s instructions, knowing it can take multiple applications, time & patience…it will remove those deposits. Using a good pool/tile brush, after allowing product to remain on areas to clean, will loosen those deposits easily. Of course, repeating if necessary.

Very easy to use, works as advertised. Used it on my fountain that had quite a bit of calcium buildup, used in combo with a stiff brush and very easily removed the buildup. A lot easier than using a pumice stone, ordered another gallon for my monthly cleanup.

I used this product as instructed. I had to end up scraping all the build up as the cleaner did nothing.

This product worked ok but much harder work than the product claimed.

First, I received item way ahead of schedule. This product destroyed 15 years of calcium buildup on my pool tile like if it was butter over a burning flame. Prior to using this product. I tried everything except soda blasting. I sprayed product on and almost immediately it goes to work. Left the product on overnight, washed it off and sprayed again. Scrubbed tiles down lightly and washed off. Good as new!!!!!

I used a heavy duty spray bottle (purchased at Home Depot) to spray this stuff on the calcium deposits on my pool tiles. It required 4 or 5 applications before the calcium deposits on the tiles really started to "sluff away". I used a small stiff nylon brush after the 5th application to clean the tiles and get most of the calcium off. Compared with my previous tile cleaning approach (using a pumice stone to scrape and scrape and scrape), this was much less work and the results with this Guardian Pool and Tile Cleaner are very satisfactory.
