This a BIG and sturdy tripod. Phenomenal. Works great with big motorized sliders without needing any supports. Don’t forget to get a 100mm ball head.

I bought this tripod to work with the Edelkrone Slider Plus. Using the slider with a lighter duty tripod resulted in unstable use, as the tripod legs simply didn't open wide enough to provide stable support at the endpoints of travel. It's not a weight issues, but simply a stability issue as the base need to open quite wide and be sturdy. A tripod that can support a 400mm+ zoom and gimball simply doesn't work well with a slider.I'm using this tripod with a SliderPlus V5 (Long), the Edelkrone HeadPlus, and a Nikon Z9. With the legs fully spread and a standard sandbag style weight sitting on the cross support, everything is stable even at the far ends of travel. I've no concerns at all over things tipping over or being otherwise "at-risk" for bad things happening.This is the least expensive tripod I was able to find that did this. I purchased this tripod because it was the cheapest I could find with an adequate load rating. In fact the load rating is even higher than many named brands which are very much more costly.I certainly wasn't worried about quality, since I have purchased from Proaim before, and have never been dissatisfied.To be honest, I thought it may have been less heavy than it actually is when I purchased, but that doesn't bother me at all. That's what P.A.'s are for right?I ordered a 100mm half ball mount to go with this, and just leave it attached while stored in the included bag.The bag is as heavy duty as the tripod as well with a zipper along the length, making it super easy to ingress, and egress the tripod.I'll never worry about the weight of my gear sitting atop a tripod again.

Bought this for astrophotography rig and it’s simple to set up, somewhat lightweight in the field, and holds quite a heavy load fully extended, more so at minimum height.

The media could not be loaded. While not having for long the tripod it high quality and hold the gearhead solidly. Great head not included.This is for 100 mm bowl type mount and no pan head is included so be sure whatever head you plan on using is this type or you can adapt to bowl mount.Comes with a quality canvas bag with a decent quality zipper. Which you should use chapstick as a live to ensure long life.Also included are rubber pads for solid floor to cover the pointed feet on soft surfaces.Glad I didn’t spend allot more to get no better quality of a tripod.
