Very pleasantly suprised
My first impression of this product was not good. I opened up the box to find the magical styrofoam that defies gravity and won't stay in a trash can. I don't dare put it in the recycling bin for fear of making it look like it is snowing throughout my neighborhood on recycling day. This stuff needs to be banned, and I typically knock a star off a product for using it.I'm dead serious.Except that, to date, was the last negative experience I had with this product. I could have assembled it without the instructions, but I'm glad it had some because I needed to figure out why there were so many feet enclosed. I guess you don't use half of them? The primary reason I chose this unit was the size. I have a very small closet, and with the limited space, I have very little wiggle room to work with to figure out if a product will fit and still be big enough. At first, I was planning on ordering two, but I decided to get one first to see if I liked it.The problem is, I do like it. A lot. In fact, it works so well that I don't even need a second one. Turns out, my old shelves were taking up half of the space in the closet.I have, however, added Raybee to my saved sellers so I can check in once in a while. You see, they even reached out to me the day my package was supposed to be delivered saying that they've reached out to the shipper to enquire why its status hadn't been updated since they shipped it. I replied saying that I had already received the package, but it's small things like that, going the extra mile, that make people like me into loyal customers.I may be in the market for a corner desk in the near future, and I see they have one of those in their store!

Not heavy duty
The shelving unit was well packed and showed up in good condition. The packing job was actually impressive. The little mallet is kinda ridiculous but nice that they included it if you don’t own one. The slots and tabs are pretty tight. You can pound on them for a while before they seat using the cute lil’ mallet. I got out my rubber mallet and that worked better. The rails tend to bend if you hit too hard. I think. I put my cast iron based miter saw on it and the front rail was bowing out pretty badly. I don’t know if I caused the damage or it’s weight did. It’s maybe 50-60 pounds. I tried standing on the bottom one and i could feel it bending under my feet and I used the supplied mallet for that shelf. I weigh about 175 pounds, far less than the 500 pounds they indicate it would hold. It must be evenly distributed and not concentrated load. Except that my miter saw weight was more evenly distributed than I was and it still started to give. So, I didn’t get it to store myself in the shed or put 2000 pounds on it. I am hoping it will hold some MGB cylinder heads and a bunch of gardening supplies, but if you are getting this thinking you could store 2000 pounds on it, forget it.The connection joint is a definite weak point in the design. There is a plastic connected that attaches the uprights together and you’re supposed to put the center shelf across the joint. It’s a little flimsy feeling.I would say that this is good for lighter duty storage.Disclaimer: I am an engineer. I am considering welding it together to make it more sturdy and putting 1/4” MDF on top of the shelves to beef them up a bit. The MDF will better support the load. I might try 1/2” to see if that would be better. The sheet metal is a pretty light gage.

Fairly straightforward Assembly, but not as sturdy as I would like.
Very easy and straightforward assembly, “Tool-less” assembly if you will. Not as sturdy as I would like, but I did not plan on putting heavy things on these shelves. Even with a little bit of weight on each shelf the whole thing still shifts or “twists” in place because the metal for the 4 main posts is so thin.Would I put 50-75 pounds on each shelf? Absolutely. Would I trust 200+ pounds on each shelf like it claims it can hold? No way.I think that is why they want you to secure it to the wall with the wall anchors, to give you the illusion that it is very sturdy when it’s really your wall that is making it seem sturdy.

Stated Dimensions are probably WRONG
Beware! The shelves listed as 32" wide are in fact 32-1/2" wide. It matters when you are trying to fit several shelves end to end in a tight space. The shelves are ok quality, nothing special, not heavy duty. Fine for in the pantry, not in the gargage.
