As expected - wonderful read
My son has read all books by the anuthor and has enjoyed all throughly. The author takes everyday themes and makes them accessible and understandable to younger readers in a way to evoke empathy and an awareness of others. I hope all children read these books, would lead to a kinder future.

Love letters again
Onjali did it again, and wrote another amazing story that opens our eyes and touch our hearts. It is really hard to imagine the life of a young carer, even as a teacher, this is a reality that we don’t usually discuss or think about. Thank you for bring this into discussion, and into our lives, in extremely well written way. Highly recommended!

Heartbreak, courage and hope (and a love of stamp collecting) - Unputdownable!
This is an incredible story of heartbreak, courage and hope (and a love of stamp collecting) as a young girl seeks to hide her role as a young carer for her mother and younger sibling. Throughout the story, her local postman features as a subtle life-line for her safety and wellbeing. Her faith in the Royal Mail and the kindness of her community empower her to go on the most incredible adventure to deliver a special package to her estranged father - who she believes is their very last chance at funding some life-saving medical care for her mam. Set in Wales, this is a story of poverty, a story of sheer panic that her little family’s desperate situation will be discovered and they’ll be broken apart. It is also rich in heart and mind; as friendships are formed with other local children, the fantastic, brave, Audrey gradually learns to share her story, particularly with the police… (who are rather giggly at times). Onjali's books are always so heartfelt and powerful (ilfe-changing), so sensitively written, you can feel her dedication to accuracy and the level of research she has undergone to authentically tell the stories of her characters to young people around the world. You will have most likely read, or be aware of some of her bestselling back catalogue including ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’, and the ‘Night Bus Hero’. I also purchased a SIGNED copy of ‘The Letter with the Golden Stamp’ for my own wonderful local postie!! + I'll let you into a big of inside knowledge… ‘The Girl and the Front of the Class' is publishing in September!! YAY!!!!!!
