High quality, heavy duty Ab straps
I've developed, through trial and error, a way to effectively do weighted hanging leg raises, using the 'bent knee' variation which I prefer, since it is the opposite of a squat. It involves using a pair of 'iron boots' (google it) with a barbell running through them, Ironmaster Dumbbell plates (they are square, so you can stand on them if you need to), a bench, a box squat platform, and of course, ab straps. This 'lift' has so much potential for strength, it is unreal - and I feel like there is real benefit and carry over to the squat. It feels like my squats are faster, more powerful, smoother, and much easier on the joints than before, and I'm sure anyone who uses barbell rows as a complement to the bench press understands what I'm talking about. It's like having extra 'cushioning' in your joints, when you develop the opposing muscle groups. I fully expect to be doing my bodyweight at some point. But, the issue here of course is, most ab straps are only rated for 300 lbs. These straps claim to hold up to 1500 lbs, and while I am skeptical of that claim, I am quite certain that they will be able to hold triple my body weight, and since a double body weight squat is considered 'advanced,' that seems like a reasonable goal for this as well.Another thing worth mentioning is, these ab straps hang down rather far by design, and were likely intended for very high pull up bars. The pull up bar on my power rack, however, is not that high, and in fact, I can grab it standing up without straining, and I have to bend my knees to do pull ups. There is a reasonable work around for this. If you wrap the straps under the bar twice, then pull the carabiner strap over and around the bar, then behind the strap and attach the carabiner, the straps hang quite nicely, to where you can actually grip the bar while having your upper arms supported. There is plenty of room to hang and do leg raises (I am 5'11), and for my particular method and setup, the iron boots/Iron Master dumbbell plates just barely touch the ground at the completion of each rep. To me that is perfect, because it gives you a sense of completion for each rep, and, as an added bonus, completely nullifies any natural tendency your body might have to swing and use momentum between reps.Weighted hanging leg raises may take a little bit of time, effort, and investment to set up, but they're an incredible exercise, and this is one of the products you want to use to get the job done.

Poorly stitched.
Straps look sturdy and the material feels capable of handling years of use and abuse, BUT for $90 straps the stitches could have been more even, don't you think? They look like whoever was stitching the pieces together was looking the other side instead of the needle of their sewing machine.

Just get them, these are the best.
I read a lot of reviews about other brands. I even ordered a couple of others, and returned them before purchasing these. These Spud Heavy Duty Hanging Ab Straps might seem a bit overkill, however they are perfect. They don't dig into your arm, they will NEVER come apart, get twisted or develop issues often mentioned in reviews of other brands. Yes, they are a bit more expensive, but you won't regret this once-in-a-lifetime purchase of hanging ab straps. In short... Just get them.

Great Tool
I ripped up my right shoulder a year ago and could barely raise it above my head for the first couple of months. Hanging ab straps allow me to get quality hip and ab work without dead hanging as shoulder mobility and rehab progress. Overbuilt indeed. This is another fantastic product from Spud. I don't have any issues with it scratching me. That may be avoided by moving them toward the elbow an inch or so. Highly recommend.

Sharp Edges
The melted edges along the top of the stirup portion of the strap are left unfinished and sharp. First time I tried them I got cut. This is just being lazy on SPUD's part. They are good straps and will last forever if I don't leave them in the sun.For how much these cost they should have taken the time too finish the edges, I finished them myself with some sand paper and a file. Now they are useful and don't cause lacerations.Very poor quality control. The unfishinshed edges and the resulting lacerations are the reason for 3 stars.

Plan on buying your own clips
Straps are nice. The clips are nowhere near big enough to fit around any pullup bar. Maybe a magic marker, but not a pullup bar. Shocked I'm the only one to mention this.

Best ab straps available
Great product, heavy duty, these things will not break thats for sure. Didn't like spending 90 for ab straps but I do feel like doing ab raise exercises are worth the cost in the long run.
