Q: Would these be considered compression socks? I am looking for something just a little tight.

They are definitely a compression sock and have worked great for my Husband because he needed the compression as well as needing them to go up OVER his Knee which they do but not by very far, I wish they were longer but they do the trick. They don't last a long time but still better than some others we've tried, so I will be reordering soon. Just wish they were longer and lasted longer. They are TIGHT, good compression for his Diabetic Legs and feet!! I hope that helps
