Works well with 5A power adapter.
I tried about half a dozen 2Amp ones but back light kept turning off. With a few 2Amps it stayed on a bit but eventually had sporadic issues staying on. With 5A it stays on. No problems so far.

Works, but...
Connected easily and although it brought life back to an old laptop display, the image has constant flickering. Specific gray tones will flicker causing uneasy viewing. I suspect that the onboard display controller IC is to blame here.
