bel design, grande funzionalità
If a Vespa were a teapot it would be this one. Great Italian styling. It’s an appliance that dresses up the countertop. Very easy to use. Heats a full pot of water under a minute. The spout filter is an added feature. A word of caution for any device that generates steam...don’t put this under a cupboard unless you want the finish ruined. We didn’t, but we know others that have done so with other products and it did not turn out well for the wood finish. We chose a spot near the sink (away from cabinets) next to the filtered water faucet for easy filling. Our stovetop kettle just became obsolete.

Soooo Disappointed!
I’ve had my eye on this kettle for along time. I love the color and design. I’m finally putting my coffee bar together, and thought this retro style would be great. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the description well, and didn’t realize all the plastic involved. Now, I’m not against plastics, but for the price of this kettle, I was NOT expecting plastic, and cheap plastic at that. Another viewer said they smelled plastic while using it, and I can see why. It would seem to me that the base would eventually become a melted mess. (Someone also said they can’t send it back because they used it. Yes, you can. It’s definitely not up to par; send it back!) The wonderful thing about Amazon is that they stand by their products. They don’t know the quality unless us, the buyers, review the product. Sorry…this is going back pronto!

Not for older people...
It's a great little kettle, but there are some things worth noting:1) It's NOT for folks with arthritic hands. While aesthetically pleasing, the tiny knob and tightly fitting lid are a bear for painful, stiff fingers to deal with. Not good at all, and I may have to retire it before I've even really begun to use it.2) No little floating indicator to show water level. While it does have a clear plastic chamber that shows the amount of water in the kettle, there is no little bead- preferably red- to bob on the surface to show the water level. Because condensation collects in there as well, discerning the actual height is kind of a pain, usually meaning that I have to hold the still-hot kettle up to my face and squint to make sure that I'm not over-filling. Again, an older person with bad eyesight will not appreciate.3) The product is made for the Japanese market and it took about a month to arrive on the East Coast. That wasn't a problem, but if you're wanting to have it in hand for a specific event, keep that in mind.4) All instructions, Warranty info, etc are exclusively in Japanese. Not a big deal, but might matter to another.5) Other than that, it's an adorable, functional, overpriced little thing that sits happily on my countertop. They also make a matching toaster and espresso machine if you want the whole line. While I'm essentially pleased with it, I would not have purchased it had I known.

Nice kettle with style
I actually bought it for its style. It's kinda small if you use your kettle to pre-heat your water for cooking. It's enough if you are going to use it just for tea or coffee. It's of course well-made and very good quality. But I would say that it's not for people who wants their kettle to be very practical.

Great little kettle!
I love this little kettle, from the retro look to how fast in boils water. At 1 liter capacity, its perfect for a small households and/or when you don't want a large kettle to take up counter space. Have been using it for just over two weeks and have no issues with using it on US power (located in So Cal). I just ordered another one for our vacation home.

Perfect counter size.
I don't generally clean kettles that I use on a daily basis as the process of boiling automatically sanitizes it. I'm sure it would be simple to clean out under the sink though. There are no temp controls that I'm aware of. I received the fully Japanese version so all instructions and descriptions are in Japanese. That being said. I was able to use it immediately, so it's pretty easy to use. This is a nice sized kettle. My only confusion is the very low "fill" line. I fill mine much higher, but I am in the kitchen when it's in use and it's plugged into a GFI shutoff outlet. Even very full it has never boiled over. Heats quickly, looks lovely. So far I'm very happy. I think I've had it for about 3 months now.

Cheating in description. Made in China , not in Japan. Big difference.
So far there is no problem , but it’s impossible to register.
