Recently I bought some "space saving" bags at a large retailer, which were pretty much ziplock bags impersonating space saver bags. I needed real space saving bags for a trip so I gambled on the original brand (at least, I think these are the original) and it totally paid off! The vacuum pump is actually smaller than it seems in the online pix here. It takes up so little space that it's not noticeable and the bags, when used properly, save so much room there's plenty of room for the tiny pump!In reading other reviews as to how these bags actually perform, I got some tips about how to utilize their effectiveness. It's true you can get pretty much every bit of air out of the bags which is great, except that when you "vacuum" to capacity, the bag is then much too stiff to pack into a suitcase efficiently. There would be a ton of wasted space when used that way. Picture packing a lot of actual rocks that have no wiggle room whatsoever... So I experimented until I got the right "vacuum effect" which allowed for easy packing without a lot of wasted space between packed bags!These bags held perfectly through a 16 trip out, and also the return trip we thought would never end - or about 28 hours! No leaks, tears or loss of air! I had one extra really large bag I wasn't taking on the trip so I put a winter comforter cover in it to see it would hold air long term (as it should). It's still holding strong, waiting for me to open when the weather turns cold. I can't imagine traveling without these amazing bags in the future - worth every cent!!!

This is my first time purchasing these space saver bags. So far I love them! The package came with a hand pump to use and it worked beautifully. Did not need the vacuum. I was able to store all of my winter sweaters and sweater ponchos in the large bag and use the medium and small bags for my long sleeve shirts, smaller sweaters, dresses and scarfs. I ordered another variety box to try out the jumbo sizes with our blankets and comforters because the large size in this purchase worked so well.I will say for sure follow the instructions! I made sure not to over pack these bags. On each bag, it provides step by step instructions for use. Do not fill past the dashed line marked on the bag. You can see that it helps create that vacuum seal in that space.We've used other bags similar in the past unfortunately where you had manually press out the air and in comparison it did not save near as much space as these bags will allow.I am curious to see how my clothes will come out once it's time to open these and change out the winter clothes with the summer clothes. Our last ones from another brand as mentioned above had our clothes smell stale once we reopened them even with them freshly washed before we packaged them. I will update this review later on to see how they held up.Otherwise great purchase!

I gave this 4 stars because I literally did not want a manual pump and this was what I received, wrong item.The good news is, I was pressed for time and no time to whine and complain. i had to go to the airport with the family. The manual pump worked great, my 8 year old had fun using it to help with the packing. She said, Mom this thing works great. My shirts/pants looked like a piece of piece of meat in a freezer bag.This saved time and space in the suitcase. No extra fees and I have a bad habit of over packing and no one knew my issues. Everything fit perfectly. The pump was easy to pack and returning with souvenirs the bags helped me again. Great purchase even for a manual.

Used this for my travels and for my winter travels to NJ & NYC this past week. I used a Osprey Meridian 60L carry-on luggage. I had 3pairs of jeans not including the ones I was wearing on my trip, 3 winter sweaters, 4 shirts, 5 socks/boxers, travel towl, 2 sleeping clothes. All fit my carry-on with alittle extra room to spare for my shoes and toiletry bag. Space saver Vacuum pack works for me. No more travel packing cubes for me it works also but takes up space quick. I used a medium size space saver pack and I bring a small size for my dirty clothes in case if I can't clean my clothes during my travels. Most of the time I clean my clothes but the small space saver I bring with me helps keep the dirty smell in check. The pump works when getting the air out. Easy bring and to store away when not in use I just put it on the side pockets of the meridian carry-on luggage. No complaints so far. Glad they gave 2 of each size to use in case if one does fail. And the ziplock does not come undone since I have been using it.

Works as described! Nice and sturdy and so far, air is not escaping. Company does follow-up and has a money back guarantee so you can't lose! My only suggestion would be that there be orders of multiples of the same size available for purchase. That being said, I'll be able to use all of the sizes and will be ordering more. Size Small Bags are good for travel packing. I decided to be prepared in case I wanted to take a long trip, say 2 weeks, and not lug around wheeled luggage and did a practice run, to see if my "basics" will fit, also if the air escapes 'cause I've got an overseas trip planned in 3 weeks. I was able to pack clothes for 2 weeks, into 2 Small SpaceSaver bags! Here's what I packed for a practice run: 2 pairs of long pants; 7 tops-both long sleeved and short; 7 pairs of undies; 1 nightgown; 1 pair of socks; 1 bra; 4 washcloths for face; 1 3-piece outfit for going out. And there would have been room for more clothes. Those two shrunken bags now fit into my Carry-On Item (Briggs & Riley).with room left over for toiletries, a few business items, and a small laptop. Hope this helps somebody else who is tired of lugging around that wheeled luggage or checking it in. A traveler could also do something similar with a wheeled bag that will fit in the overhead or under the airplane seat and pack even more using more Small Size SpaceSaver bags.

Easy to use and works as expected so far. Delivery took a bit of time.

je suis enchantée de ce produit. il peut servir pour ranger les doudounes, les couettes etc.. Je m'en sert quand je pars en vacances cela me permet d'avoir des bagages moins encombrants et grâce à la pompe fournie je peux facilement remettre sous vide même sans aspirateur

Useful for holiday suitcases, remember to take the pump with you for return journey

Not bad, pump not easy to use seems to take for ever to take the air out the bag.

Wish there had been more medium size bags.
