I hardly ever write reviews anymore but I am so impressed with this product! I have gotten may hair dyed at a salon a couple of times but I just didn’t want to spend that much money every 6 weeks, so I have been looking for a “holy grail” hair dye. I had tried Olia from the store & it did nothing to my grays. Then I tried a color depositing conditioner, and it also did nothing. I have maybe 20% grays in my late thirties and I have been wanting to find something I can do at home. This dye comes with a bottle with a nozzle on it, which. made it easy to apply with precision anywhere I wanted it to go. I also got a hair dye brush to help paint it onto certain areas (highly recommend if you are dyeing hair at home). You mix the creme with the activator, shake, & it turns to a light brown shade so you know it’s ready to use. After you let it sit and you’re ready to rinse, the directions say to add a small amount of water FIRST, rub your head and let the product create a lather, then rinse and add the amazing smelling hair protecting mask and riinse immediately (for thiose who don’t read directions, this is a crucial step).It was the perfect consistency, not drippy and not foam and it did not smell bad or burn my scalp. I left it on about 35 minutes and I am so happy it covered my grays. It also has a very multifaceted color in the sun, much like the Feria hair dye I used to use in my 20’s, which was definitely NOT non-toxic. There are definitely some auburn tones. The color I chose was Intense Chestnut brown and it was perfect for my very dark brown hair that already has red tones in the sun. It matches my color perfectly, which is difficult to do.Overall the ease of use, price, and the fact that this is ammonia-free, made 70% with botanicals, and gentle on the scalp make this a product I will recommend to everyone I know.The hair protecting mask that came in the box smelled absolutely amazing and took it to the next level, making it a spa like experience.10/10. 5 stars. Intense chestnut brown is a good shade for naturally black hair that shines copper or reddish in sunlight. The undertone will be an ever so slightly cooler red but definitely not too cool. Looks natural. From the reviews I have read, if you use shade numbers lower than those in the 4s, even on naturally black hair, it will be very dark and perhaps unnatural looking. YMMV, especially if you are starting with lighter hair or if you have already dyed your hair.I picked this hair dye because it is top rated - IIRC by Good Housekeeping. I'm also a previous user of Phyto products like Defrisant. Not an easy to find product in the US AFAIK. I like my natural hair color and didn't want to dye my hair...until I had streaks of grey at my temples. It's not much but noticeable when I put my reading or sunglasses on my head.Easy to use. Covered my greys. (I have only seen two very, very short regrowing grey hairs that I plucked that didn't take the color, probably because they are so short and didn't get enough dye on them.)Understanding hair color for a novice can be tough. I know people in the hair business and still can't quite wrap my head around translating color theory to match my natural hair's undertones by using the stuff at, say, Sally's. I'm looking for a box dye that takes the guess work out of shade mixing. Phyto appears to have my back.I'll repost if the grey coverage doesn't last, the color turns weird after many washes, etc.

I love the deep chocolate color that doesn't end up too black, I love the warmth in the shade. I kind of miss the conditioning agent from the clairol shade I was using before, but the color is definitely better, so I'm going to stick with this one for a while.

I bought 8 Light Blonde to cover my grey. When I received product the photo on box was dark brown but box and bottles were labeled as light blonde. Not impressed with cheap packaging and labeling on box and bottles, no gloves included. The directions said to ignore the color once mixed. The mixture was not easy to mix, it was dark and so thick I had to squeeze it out of bottle and rub into my hair. My hair is fine and shoulder length and had just enough mixture. Left on recommended time and after rinsing my hair is med/dark brown, NOT BLONDE! LOOKS HORRIBLE, NOT A NATRUAL COLOR. I would not recommend this product, the price is twice the price of most colors. After many years of shopping on Amazon this is my first negative review and olny because product is terrible!

I am in the Us and all the hair color box brands here make me deathly allergic especially black hair dye I break out I itch like crazy and weeze I usually have to take two Benadryls. I usually use a blue black the allergic reaction isn’t as bad but then the blue stains my scalp. I was searching Amazon for hair color and this brand popped up. After reading the reviews and the ingredients I said what the hell let me try it. This is the second box I have bought of the black. No allergic reaction, no chemical smell, and no itching or burning of the scalp. The color is beautiful can’t believe how shiny and soft my hair is. This is an excellent brand and the price is well worth it. The grey coverage is why I bought this and there is not one single gray hair. Would recommend this !!

My older eyes found it hard to read the small-print instructions (available in many languages) without help of a magnifying glass, but we experienced folks pretty much know the drill. The box says '7 Blonde" but also pictures the color. Be sure to look at those! My hair was very light blonde before I dyed it this time. I was hoping to touch up the gray roots, but it turned out much darker than I had expected. Fortunately for me, I like it. When purchasing I tried to look for another color, but I think this one is available because it's the darkest "blonde" I've ever seen. I ordered this product because it is free from PPD, which makes my scalp very itchy. It's gentle in that respect. Overall, I was pleased with the result.

I am very allergic to all hair color; rash, itch and raw sores. This product did not leave me with 1 trace or symptom! Finally a product I can not only get great coverage and color from but I don’t have to suffer to get it!

Todos los tintes que probé antes (profesionales y comerciales) me hacen reacción en el cuero cabelludo (comezón e irritación). Este tinte no me provoca reacciones negativas y el color es brillante y uniforme. No vuelvo a usar otro en la vida. Vale la pena invertir en tu salud capilar.

Nella prima foto è il prima e la seconda è il dopo. È la.prima volta che uso questa tinta e colore e devo dire che son rimasta soddisfatta. Di base sono castano chiaro e ultimamente ho fatto castano chiaro ramato questo colore non ha scurito troppo.
