Works perfect for my GP-100
I find this to be my favorite speed-loader for my gun. I tried both the HKS and the Safariland comp II, but the Safariland comp III just makes reloading so much easier and faster. I can consistently do fast reloads with this version. While comp II is also fast, it is a little too small for me. HKS is the worse of the three, not saying that it was bad but in a high pressure situation it is a lot easier just to push bullets into the cylinder.

Cool idea
Solid. Works like a charm and has a small pocket presence.

Quick & Definite!
Works as stated. Need to practice w/ item. Need a really, good grip to twist knob to lock ammo in place. Would use for self defense only in that loader is already pre loaded ( too, tough to load in a fire fight). Loads very, quick & seems to be of good quality. Hard to conceal w/ summer attire. I use w/ a Ruger GP100 .357 w/ stock Hogue grip. Loader clears grip. I like! Would buy, again. Good for range quick loads; supports bad nerves- fast, definite loading !

I dont think this is any better than the twist type loaders but i dont shoot ...
I dont think this is any better than the twist type loaders but i dont shoot competition. I bought this to have the weapon ready for the next person to fire it at the range. This type is much easier to load into the weapon but it takes some getting used to in prepping it. in the twist type you put the rounds into the loader and twist the back end. then when you load into the weapon you align and twist the back end back to release. its obnoxious trying to twist while loading rounds into a spinning chamber but easier to prep. This type more or less pushes the rounds in for you once they hit the chamber. on that note...check the size of this unit and the clearance you have when the wheel is open. the biggest problem i have had with this was loading the unit, not the weapon. it takes some getting used to to quickly load the rounds. It takes a kind of push and twist to hold the rounds. unless i need to quickly load the weapon, ill probably opt for the other style next time.

Very nice speedloader!
Awesome speed loader! Works well with a strong, spring-loaded system for pushing the rounds into the cylinder. A bit big for CCW w/ the Safariland spring speedloader holders, so it rides in the center console of my truck. Solid piece of kit, though. With all of the ISIS stuff going on in the US, I've gone back to a G19 w/ a couple of spare mags, but there is still a place for my .357 pistols.

Unsafe and falsely discribed
I have used comp 2 loaders for years so am very familiar with this style of loader. Once rounds are locked in, if the sleeve is squeezed by anything the rounds fly out. Not safe at all. Part number lookup shows this loader is for S&M 10. Not true. Completely incorrect alignment of cartridges and does not function properly. I will be returning for refund. Second hand seller with no knowledge of proper part numbers.

Large, but effective
If you're familiar with typical speedloaders, like HK, be aware that these are much bigger. They're designed for competition, not concealed carry. They probably won't fit your current speedloader pouches, but Safariland has holders specifically for these available. If you're not concerned about concealability, though, they are very fast. You push the button on the end and the cartidges literally spring into the cylinder. My GP100 has aftermarket wood grips which are only very slightly relieved on the left for speedloader use. Even though the Comp IIIs are large, there's no problem clearing the grips while loading.
