This is a manufacturers replacement, so it is exactly the same as the old one.Removing the old and and fitting the new is fiddly (to be expected looking at how tightly it fits), but not difficult. A very five screwdriver or a Swiss Army knife is just the job.My only word of caution would be to say that you need to watch for the spring-loaded bar so it doesn't shoot off when you relieve the tension.Overall, truly excellent.

To be honest I stupidly did not shop around for a new strap after my watch strap finally gave up. I bought this item just assuming this would be a good price and thinking I could fit it myself. Once I got the strap it turned out I couldn't find the right screwdriver for the strap (no fault of seller). But once I took it down to my local cobberler shop to get the strap fitted the shop owner ask me how much i payed for it. As it turns out he could of sold me a strap (genine G shock) and fitted it for two thirds of the price I payed here, I was pretty annoyed. Don't buy this just go to your cobberlers.

Bought this strap as a direct replacement on my G-2900 G-Shock, and it's perfect. I bought the watch 2nd hand, and it had a lame velcro strap fitted with converters, which looked all wrong. The head is actually silver, not black, so I was worried it might not look right on a black strap. However, it looks great, just like a brand new watch, and I really like the contrast between the silver and black. Quality of the strap is awesome, as you'd expect from G-Shock.Excellent seller by the way, fast delivery and exactly as described.

Product as supplied was excellent but bad value (too expensive) when post and pack added to price resulting in doubling of purchase price. Also product did not include necessary metal attachment springs to connect strap to body of watch. This was my fault as I should have known they were not included when the product discription did not mention them. However they are a vital and necessary part of the product and should automatically come with the strap, if necessary at an extra cost. KOS.
